This wouldn't work as you won't have a chance to activate Mirror Entity's ability on your turn before the beginning of your upkeep. Lili's Contract uses the intervening If clause, so it won't trigger at all unless you control 4 demons with different names at the beginning of your upkeep.
Tatyova, Benthic Druid: Built in card advantage and life gain in the command zone and access two of the strongest colors in the format. Having access to the ultimate of Nissa, Vital Force plus life gain in the command zone is really powerful. Fetch lands like Misty Rainforest and Verdant Catacomb function as a free Divination with Tatyova, Benthic Druid on the battlefield. Playing extra land effects like Azusa, Lost but Seeking, Oracle of Mul Daya, Exploration and Summer Bloom make it very easy to play multiple lands in a row during each of our turns allowing us to ramp quickly and draw absurd amounts of cards. Plus Boundless Realms does tremendous work. I already have a semi-competitive deck list built around Tatyova and recently acquired all of the cards. I can't wait to test it out!
Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar: He gets absurdly big in a ramp deck and has trample so he'll have no problem dealing damage. Because he also counts lands in your graveyard, it makes sense to run all of the fetch lands with him, even Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse. He is incredibly resilient due to his activated ability that will allow us to evade the commander tax, and we can use sacrifice outlets like Greater Good and High Market to protect him from potential exile effects. We can also use spells like Life's Legacy and Momentous Fall to gain extraordinary value from him. Of course the usual suspects of ramp spells are wonderful here (Cultivate, Skyshroud Claim, Boundless Realms).
i'm with u 100% on Tatyova, Benthic Druid i'm gonna get a tread going if there isnt one already to trying to push her to competitive, my guess is that she will be strong for the same reasons gitrog is but its not gonna be as obvious to push her.
Raff Capashen, Ship's if i don't see one deck with him flashing artifacts i will be sad
Rona would need infinite Mana and Freed from the Real to do what I think you think she could do with dead eye. If she flickers, all exiled cards are lost because you have a new Rona.
The only talk I've seen of Naban is sticking him in Inalla, but as a commander I think there's potential. He's a 2cmc value doubler in the command zone of a deck that will naturally have a low curve and a simple mana base.
There's probably a dozen good infinite Mana combos with Marwyn. Also she's got a little baby. A+
And then there's commander 2017 which iirc was one of their best selling products of all time. I don't think they've forgotten that, so I don't think they're going to "put everything" into rotating formats.
As for the OP: if my FLGS is playing it, I'll play it. It would be a good way to use my draft cards. I personally don't see the reason for the hate, there's a lot of upsides and the downsides are making a lot of assumptions, like wotc going all in on the rotating formats
Crusading Knight and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth may be something to consider. Even without getting U,ToY on to the field, most games will have an opponent with swamps. Doesn't offer much utility besides being a huge beat stick, but the potential hugeness for a 4 drop could be pretty fun.
Firesong and Sunspeaker might get me to make the Rx spellslinger deck I've been meaning to build. Too bad it's 6 CMC, after a couple deaths it'll definitely be prohibitive to cast. I feel like Neheb, the Eternal would be a good include for the 99, he'd probably be the only good way to access your commander after just two deaths.
Can someone tell me if a RW spell would trigger FS&SS's second ability with lifegain from it's first ability? I'm pretty sure it would, this would make Lightning Helix pretty amazing (even if not, it's an auto include.)
If you're going to be making a lot of tokens, you could consider a white/green commander for Anointed Procession, Doubling Season and the like. Breya does seem like a good choice in this case.
A spellslinger deck with Kess would let you recast all the instants/sorceries that make treasure, and if you pack spells like Comet Storm or Torment of Hailfire you can make good use of all the mana you'd have with treasure and Storm the Vaults. Trail of Evidence would fit well for this theme.
Any of the Izzet spellslinger commanders would also work, but Kess gives you black which includes a lot of the "create treasure" cards.

Toshiro would see the other creatures die, so yes.
Rona would need infinite Mana and Freed from the Real to do what I think you think she could do with dead eye. If she flickers, all exiled cards are lost because you have a new Rona.

3+ color EDH decks as well. T1 color fixing, checklands, turning fetchlands into Mana producers, seems like a pretty quality card for budget decks.
Still, another commander I want to build around
