I love Karn, the Great Creator. It almost feels like it was designed for this deck. The problem I'm running into is the Sideboard. With all the wish targets that are being currently run, it is hard to take out "dead" cards game 2. Has anyone had success walking this new tight rope we have? Does it not matter because Karn is so good? Thanks!

P.S. I finished 5-3 losing to Jund, The Rock and U/W Control in the Syracuse Modern Classic.

In my experience, UR Phoenix folds to Chalice on 1. Pre-board Chalice on 1 and Bridge is GG.

Hi, guys. After playing about 10 different decks, I'm back on this masterpiece in two formats! Has anyone played the Legacy version? If so, what are your thoughts? Apparently I'm no longer in the Discord, can someone post an invite? Thank you all!!!

It appears you have to pay the $25.00 Handling Fee and $2.99 Shipping. Unfortunately, you have to pay Tax too. You redeem the Virtual set for the Paper set. $159.96-$25.00-$2.99=$131.97(-Tax) I think that's still a good day. It's sad that you have to pay $27.99+Tax to redeem a set though.

After messing around with Dragons, I'm moving back to my favorite deck. I've been thinking about cutting Rabblemaster ( This might be the wrong choice in the end.) and running 10+ Planeswalkers total. I'm high on the new Sarkhan even without Dragons. I think cutting Rabblemaster makes our Angers better and it also blanks all creature removal in OP's deck. At times Rabblemaster is lights out, but other times it eats a Bolt or a Path and we are losing a lot of CA. (Sometimes you have to play Rabble and hope) Planeswalkers are generally harder to kill and equally as powerful. I'm going to test a deck at FNM, I'll let you know how it goes. Do you think I'm way off base? Thanks!

I run 17 Unhinged Mountains and I smile every time I look at them.

I played 2 Trinisphere @ FNM last week. They were both good and bad. I saw a copy 3 times over the course of the night. Twice it shut my opponent down and once it cost me a game. In the 2 games it shined, it is possible that it wasn't needed at all. It cost me a game when i was stuck on 3 mana and had Chandra in hand. I could not draw a land over 5 turns and finally hit a ritual... If anyone decides to give it a go, remember that spells with cmc 1 still get countered by Chalice even if they pay 3. In the end, I finished 3-0-1,splitting with a friend in the finals. I will be testing Chainwhirler in that spot tonight.

    Mini Tournament Report from FNM

    Round 1 Lantern Control 2-0
    Round 2 Burn 2-1
    Round 3 Jeskai Control 1-2
    Round 4 Grixis Death's Shadow 2-1

Overall, not to bad. 7-1 in last 2 weeks not playing against BBE or Jace. Lantern Control has to be 80/20 in our favor. Game 3 against Burn I had Chalice on 1 and 2. Topdecked a third cast for 6, opponent topdecked a Rift Bolt and went on tilt. Jeskai Control was bad for me, D-Sphere my threat and chained Cryptic for the win. Grixis gets shut down by Chalice and Moon. I'll take notes for a better report next week.

If possible, I would like some thoughts on the deck going forward. I've been playing it for 18 months and it has been really fun. A few months ago I had to pay some bills and sold the deck. I've been saving to buy it back, while still being able to play it thanks to a gracious friend. I'm at the point where I can buy it back, but I feel it might not be viable anymore. Jund is bad for us and Jace isn't good either. Kolaghan's Command plus Abrupt Decay and Pulse is not what I want to sit across from. Blood Moon always gets taken by IoK or Thoughtseize, BBE hastily kills our Walkers and Jace is Jace. How have things gone on MTGO with the new unbans? Has my favorite deck effectively been removed from contention? I don't know what to do and any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank You!
