I think it's one of the strongest deck in the meta, there's just a lot of hate against it but it's possible to win even through it. The Burn and Humans matchups are atrocious, Meddling Mage and Eidolon are not our friends. Every deck with the discard package is an hard matchup too (GDS, Traverse Shadow, Jund, Abzan, 8-Rack). But even with those hard matchup, we are able to steal some of them with the consistency of the Gifts engine and our resilience to hate with our bounce spells.

Please do not refer to us, or any people as “stormtroopers” The term is derived from a Nazi regiment and is very hurtful to me and is an anti Semitic thing to say. Thank you.

I meant like in Star Wars. Sorry if it offends you. Lot of people use this term for Storm players though (in reference to Star Wars, always). Have a good day, and again, sorry. I'm Canadian, I don't mind to say sorry lol.

In the case of the classic Grapeshot-Remand the Grapeshot in my hand-Grapeshot, can this happen if I cast Grapeshot from the GY?
No, Grapeshot would be exiled when Remand resolves. It's on Remand's Gatherer page.

Thank you a lot! I also just found it right on the main page of this subforum : - If you Remand a spell which has been flashed back, it goes to exile, not its owner’s hand. Do it on your opponent’s spells, not yours.

Welp, I guess I needed a bit more research haha. Have a good day!

Hi Stormtroopers! I have a technical question for you refering to Past in Flames and the ability Flashback. I've buyed into this deck two months ago and I'm having loads of fun with it (not so much for my opponents lol). I've started to watch Caleb streams (mostly on YT though) and reading his blog to learn how to play it better.

Here the technicality that I've stumbled on the past few weeks - the ability Flashback states : Play that spell / Then, exile it. Is the exile zone the only zone that a spell can go after a Flashback? In the case of the classic Grapeshot-Remand the Grapeshot in my hand-Grapeshot, can this happen if I cast Grapeshot from the GY?

I've asked this question to Caleb on his YT channel since I'm not really able to catch his streams but he didn't respond. Maybe my question was too stupid for him Tongue hahahah, I hope someone can answer this for me as my research have not been succesful.

Thank you all, have a good day, keep storming! (sorry if it's poorly written, English is my second language)

When you get the hint that your OPP is manipulating your deck to his advantage, call the judge immediately : hey, I presented my deck to my OPP to be shuffled and he did weird stuff to my deck I think, can you please verify it for me? The judge should able to tell if he did, especially if he flipped cards over. But you definitely had a bad judge : there was no replay necessary here even if it were you who did weird stuff to your deck

Hi everyone! I'll be competing in the second big MTG event of my life the 7 April (Face to face North Bay Open). I've returned to the game 6 months ago after a 5 years hiatus. I competed for the first time in Toronto at the last GP there in February. I'm hesitant on the deck to play : I've been a Bogles player since I've returned to the game, I know the little tricks possible with the deck. It's the one that I used in Toronto (1-4 before dropping). It's a good deck, especially in current meta, but there are tough match-up, and I'm still not over that Chalice of the Void on 1 on the first turn of my first game in Toronto hahahah. For the past two months, I've buyed into Gifts Storm and I love it. Very different than my first deck, but its not the easiest deck to run. I've studied it a lot, watching Caleb Sherer stream and reading his blog, plus praticing it a lot. I feel comfortable with it in small tournaments at my LGS but I'm nervous about playing it at a bigger stage with Competitive Rules Enforcement. I'm asking today, to you, people of the Magic World United (lol) : what should I play in North Bay? It will not be a massive tournament like a GP, but I still feel nervous about playing one the hardest deck to pilot in Modern on a bigger stage than a LGS. Thank you all, opinions and advices are welcome!

Thanks to all for the feedback! Excited to see all the fellow Bogles players in Toronto this weekend.I tested Gryff's Boon in place of Spirit Mantle, currently I like Spirit Mantle better because it's the best evasion and protective aura in the game, even at 2 CMC. I don't really like Dissenter's Deliverance because it doesn't get rid of enchants, mostly Blood Moon who neutralizes the deck entirely : still an interesting choice in an a artifact based meta. The card I'm most interested in running right now is Spirit Link : I would cut my Cartouche and a Mantle for it. I still need to test it more though, as Cartouche is very helpful against LotV and Edict effects. I'm currently running a singleton of Ledgewalker to give more creature to the deck : most of the times, you're playing the game against your opening hand and one more creature gives us one more chance to not Mulligan. Have a good day all! *written from.my cell phone

Hello all! I'm new here, been following the thread a bit for some months. I'm an old casual player who've returned to play MtG like 6 months ago : sold my old collection and strated to build some competitive decks for different formats. In Modern, I built Bogles for its low cost, low interaction and facility to pilot for a guy returning to the game. I'm going to GP Toronto 2018 next week and, even if I considered playing my U/W Control deck, I decided to go for the underdog and play my Bogles deck and catch the metagame off-guard with the strong White sideboard cards. I'll put my list here, I would like some advices from fellow Bogles players! Keep in mind that I'm no pro-player, just a guy who goes to a GP for the experience and the fun of it.

    Sideboard :

So, I'm going for a Sideboard extension in the main deck with 3x Path to Exile and 3x Leyline of Sanctity in the main board, as they are key against Grixis Death Shadow. The sideboard is pretty self-explanatory : x3 RIP versus Storm, Control, Living End / Path to Exile versus creature based decks / Eidolon of Rhetoric against Burn, Storm, Living End / x2 Gaddock against CoCo, Tron, UWx Control / Leylines versus targeting, LotV, Thoughtseizes and Inquisition / Seal of Primoridum versus Affinity, Lantern, Spellskite, Blood Moon / Stony Silence for Affinity and Lantern, etc.

I've meddled with the Unfliching Courage in the main deck but I've found that they are too slow. When you have them in hand, it's either playing it, or play 3 other 1CMC spells.

I think that's about it! It's my first post here, so be kind If I made any error please lol ^^ What do you think about this list? What should I add or cut? Thanks and have a good day!
