Played a game the other day against a group hug deck that was running Quicksilver Fountain. Game took hours because nobody was running blue.

That said I do have one suggestion to make Remove Domri. there are much better cards to run. You are running the immortal sun which (while may not seem like much) can indeed ruin his only appeal. I would switch him out for Rhythm of the wild. (Simply due to teh fact that it offers more for the same cost. (Domri's static doesn't account for much as there are also better anthems out there)

ill consider it. although i'm leaning more towards taking out the immortal sun for it, as it's pretty rare that i actually draw it when i need it.

You mentioned they run infinite combo decks, which is an interesting sign, but there're infinite combo decks and then there're infinite combo decks. If their decks just run a single 3-card infinite combo that they read about on the internet once, and the rest of the deck is random jank, then its an entirely different deck then if it runs 5-6 infinite combos and a full suite of tutors, enablers and cards that keep them alive until they play their combo.

both actually. Though there's only 2 people running full blown infinite combo decks.

Okay, so I recently improved my gishath deck.
    https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/rawrs-and-stuff

This was my first commander deck, and was originally running unblockable equipments, I swapped the equipment out for cards that double Gishath's damage. Now, everybody hates my deck.

    (Sorry about the rant)
Playing this, I expect to be focused most games. This deck can just explode and eat my opponents out of nowhere.
Half my play group is running infinite combo decks that can also just win out of nowhere, so I'm having a hard time understanding what the difference is and why nobody wants to play against specifically my deck.

  • posted a message on Yuriko Combos?
Right now I'm toying around with a deck idea that relies on creatures with haste. I use cards like sunken hope and spreading plague to keep the field clear, while cycling the haste creature back to my hand with yuriko, the tiger's shadow.

However, this is a bit slow and lacks a decisive impact. So, I'm looking for combos to give the deck some teeth. Right now, the best thing I've come up with is lim-dul's vault + repay in kind + yuriko.

Also planning on running sorin markov, but it's not as good.

    Any suggestions?

  • posted a message on Ninjutsu timing?
As I understand it, ninjutsu can be used both before and after damage is applied by the unblocked creature.
"Activating the ninjutsu ability during the declare blockers step allows the Ninja to deal combat damage. Using ninjutsu during the combat damage or end of combat steps will mean the unblocked attacking creature is dealing combat damage."

My question is, if I have a ninja like phantom ninja equipped with quietus spike attack, deal damage and ninjutsu in yuriko, the tiger's shadow by bouncing phantom ninja, would yuriko's ability still trigger since phantom ninja dealt damage or would it be too late?

Maybe I should reword my question =s

Is damage received limited to the toughness of my creature or to the power of the opposition?

    If I have a 2/2 blocker, blocking a 10/10, can I reflect 10 or 2?

Based on the trample example I'm guessing its limited to my toughness?

Built a feather edh, and being able to reflect damage sounds like a fun way to defend. But I'm not entirely sure how Kor Chant works. Does it reflect damage equal to my toughness or equal to the enemy's power? Does it prevent trample?

  • posted a message on How do copies work?
Let's say I have Sepulchral Primordial out and a couple cards he bought out on the field, and on the following turn I play infinite reflection onto sepulchral. Would the etb effect of Sepulchral Primordial trigger on each copy that's already on the field or only new cards as they enter the battlefield?

Each opponent being dealt damage causes the ability to trigger a separate time. In general, if you have three opponents, you will draw three cards after the abilities resolve.

ah thanks. don't s'pos you could help me with 1 more? With the way Hallar, the Firefletcher is worded, would copying kickers with cards like Pyromancer's gogglescause Hallar to trigger?

  • posted a message on Snake Umbra + Hallar?
Building a kicker edh, and Hallar, the Firefletcher is the type of commander that needs protection. Snake Umbrasounds perfect, but i wanna clarify something before i add it. Do i draw a card for each opponent that Hallar damages, or only 1 since they take damage at the same time?

Temple Altisaur's ability is not a triggered ability (it doesn't include "when", "at", or "whenever") (C.R. 603.1). In any case, under C.R. 611.3a, Temple Altisaur's effect isn't "locked in" to a particular source of damage or to a particular Dinosaur you control (other than Temple Altisaur).

If-then statements aren't considered triggers in magic? weird.

    Each time a source

Maybe I'm too used to playing yugioh, but it sounds like I only get 1 per time not instance.

Oh, you just reworded it slightly. Because of the if trigger it is each instance not each time.
