Seems like Bodyguard would only protect phantasmal image from some wraths but not from targeted removal...PI would be sacrificed before the bolt resolves, and indestructible doesn't protect from sacrifice, correct?
I'm also testing two descendants' path for some card advantage in my build. I love what the card does for top deck mode and it is a T2 play off an Heirarch that rivals mantis rider in some matchups. And emphasizing what you mentioned in your post: DP not only casts creatures for you, it also filters lands and vials to the bottom, a huge boost to our game plan once we have 3-4 Mana sources and/or a vial in play.
However, I've found DP can increase Mulligans when one of my lands is an ancient ziggurat with it's creatures-only mana. DP is way too slow on turn 4 in my meta. What's your experience with casting DP on curve vs. having to Mulligan or cast it later? I'm trying -2 ancient ziggurat and +2 City of brass, and so far (in a handful of matches not extensively tested) it seems like the self inflicted pings from City are not a big deal with no dark confidant and no fetch/shock. Thoughts?
