i misread omnath as "Omnath, Locus on the roll" and thinking that someone in r&d wasnt done with the unset stuff yet.
that being said, looks like m20 has a focus on tribals that arent that common (elemental, wolf, chandra)
looking forward to seeing what other support they might print for them.
Noice! I didn't realize that Trinisphere was so expensive. I guess it's really good in Vintage and Legacy? I'll try and trade into it if I can.
it spiked in price because of karn, the great creator which slides into several modern decks
many of the cards that were sideboard for it went up in price.
i feel that there are many decks that randomly flashback or cast cards from graveyard. ive found it to be useful in the deck to stop random shenanigans from happening but i wish that it also stop them from recurring back to hand ... a man can dream though.
ive taken out reliquary tower out of most of the decks that need to be streamlined, more often than not, i would rather see a basic to make coloured mana because i have enough rocks to provide the colourless.
additionally if you are drawing +10 cards and not winning on the turn then there is something wrong with the play, as most people in my playgroup would point to kill you as you have too much resources. also the graveyard should be second hand for most decks so discarding should even be an issue.
personally outside of highly utility lands, an example for a tri-colour deck my mana base:
x3 Duals
x3 shocks
x8 fetchlands which can search for any of the commander colours
x1 cycle land with the main colour and secondary colour
x1 strip mine
x3-4 utility lands which do not produce colour
12-16 basics (dependent of curve)
the reason why i almost always have a stripmine is for gimping any other utility lands that others may play as well as denying colours from certain decks, additionally its what i always grab if anyone plays tempt with discovery to remove the largest threat people would fetch.
The issue i have with skyship weatherlight is that if it gets removed then the cards exiled are gone. While it can be infinite, unlike the bontu + mikeus/saffi combo, this card uses so many more cards which starts to make it less and less reliable.
I've tested the removal combo, however it requires the paradox engine which is still part of the main wincon. Additionally by using the beast within to clear board, I also gave my enemy a boatload of 3/3 to go aggro with.
Currently testing:
- Veil of Summer to replace Idyllic Tutor (veil provides protection when you start to combo and nets you a card if the opponent cast a u/b spell. Can be pitched if you need the card and not the protection)
Cards that i will probably be testing/adding when i get my hands on them
1 Giver of Runes
1 Mother of Runes
2 Sylvan Safekeeper
Forces people to use removal on these cards before they can use removal on combo/stax creatures
1 Nature's Claim
3 Beast Within
5 Urza's Ruinous Blast
nature's claim will probably replace krosan grip as while split second is nice, i think for this deck it is better to use the 1 cmc removal spell
KotR removed for Grand Abolisher. KotR is cut for more protection as Abolisher is Dosan #2. *** replaced with Ouphe. It is rare that a board wipe is required in the format as most of the time its a specific creature that is problematic. Ouphe is Stony Silence on a stick and is redundancy. Okina replaced with Bountiful Promenade for further colour fixing.
Reki and Nykthos both feel too slow for the deck. Replacing Nykthos with Canopy will assist in fixing mana and if not needed will draw a card. Force of vigor to remove problematic enchantments and artifacts.
This is a Captain Sisay paradox engine deck.
Looking for some input on some cards that you feel would be better suited or replaced.
Main wincon is paradox engine + legendary rocks + Bow of Nylea + bontu's monument + mikeaus, the lunarch/Saffi Eriksdotter
Everything in the combo can be tutored by Sisay.
The rest of the deck is to stop opponents from interacting with the deck and locking them down or tutoring to hate to stop their plans from progressing.
I recognize that paradox sisay is a very glass cannon and doesnt hold compared to U/x paradox decks but I enjoy playing GW which is why I built it.
Hi, I'm Sunny's friend. Unfortunately he lost his log in info for the account and couldn't remember the email password which it was tied to. He said the thread should have been retired a while back as the mods had been msging him about it. However the deck has stayed almost the same with the addition of sigarda's aid and the satyr enchanter from m19. The c18 release actually had no impact on the deck whatsoever as none of the g or w cards in the deck were really that usable and if they were, they were in the deck already. I'll ask him for a copy of the decklist if you would still be interested in a quick look at what he has now, otherwise its probably better just to let this thread die.
that being said, looks like m20 has a focus on tribals that arent that common (elemental, wolf, chandra)

Whew >.< missed that line in food chain. looks like Niv stays as the food chain commander.
risen reef looks like its gonna be interesting. a coiling oracle for every elemental. i wanna see it being abused with morophon.
i was thinking of rat colony. forgot about relentless rats
legion's end is almost as good as a surgical vs rat/apostle/petitioners
interesting we are seeing the goblin ringleader in 2020. cant wait to see what other goblin support they may be printing

that being said the rare and mythic chandras coming out look interesting. Unfortunately i dont think either one will make it into my neheb deck
equipment could be considered like the swords of x and y

I've been testing the shaman of the forgotten hunt as an alternate win condition. Its hard to activate outside using it in conjunction with Elesh Norn.
cant wait to see more cycle cards

nature's claim will probably replace krosan grip as while split second is nice, i think for this deck it is better to use the 1 cmc removal spell
6 Kamahl, Fist of Krosa
1 Noxious Revival
Cheaper recoursion and a seperate wincon
Flooded Strand
Inventors' Fair
Wooded Foothills
More fetches to reduce land count. Inventor's fair
- Knight of the Reliquary
- Okina, Temple to the Grandfathers
- Wrath of God
+ Bountiful Promenade
+ Collector Ouphe
+ Grand Abolisher
