2-mana LD as anything more than a 1-of in draft is ridiculous. This isn't Legacy with super-strong mana-bases that can take repeated Wasteland/Sinkhole Hits (and plenty of Legacy decks have issues dealing with a double Wasteland...or Wasteland --> Sinkhole). Even having Hymn as an Uncommon is risky, if we're talking about cards that can define game on their own.
But yes, Mono-B is looking nuts. All we need is Carnophage and some 3-drop value creature (Looking at you Vampire Nighthawk) and I can't see why you'd draft anything other than Bx.
Slow? The Bard deck runs every 1-drop dork and a creature untap effect (i.e., Wirewood Symbiote). And he's 3 Mana, so between the dorks and moxen, T2 is a given each game. He can fetch an answer for almost everything, including a couple combos. And even with all that, like most survival decks, they function perfectly well if their tutor engine gets destroyed. Sisay costs 4 and is restricted to G and W Legends...versus every green/coloress creature in existence for Bard.
Well, except for the fact it can never hit for 2 on T1...and you can turn it off...and red decks aren't usually going to want to skip a turn of playing stuff for an unblockablish 2/2. So, it's more like Raging Goblin with an upside.
I'm looking at the posts saying things like "this would be good if it hit players". Really? You think they would've printed a 5-drop in standard that can one-shot your opponent on the swing (5+10 off an Ulamog or Kozilek usually amounts to that by turn 6)? Greedy, greedy.
Yeah, this is better than JtMS in a lot of ways. No way this is real. Every deck in every format would be scrambling to cram this in.
omitting the tautological argument of whether this is too good or not, This is not better than JTMS...at all. Liliana is arguably still a better 3 drop in most decks that's run it...assuming the starting loyalty isn't something nuts.
If he has a loyalty of 2, I can see him being fair. A better-than Arena in 2 colors that dies to Bolt is fine. Just makes him a 3 mana Ponder that absorbs an attack or removal spell. He'd fit well into a BUG Delver list that goes Delver/Visions/THoughtseize, Goyf, him...though honestly I'd want Liliana more...especially with the format being so heavily creature-driven. If he starts with more, then that -2 makes him look too strong for standard. Though...I'll call this one fake. the -2 not-specifying "nonland" and the story not indicating Jace turning black yet seems sketchy.
I wonder, if it´s true, how different it will be from Theros which also Gods, like would its uniqueness fail because we already have had gods?
Egyptian mythology is extremely distinct from Greek mythology...about the only commonalities would be gods and heroes. Egyptian gods were also far less likely to manifest in the physical realm than their Greek counterparts (which would routinely meddle directly in mortal affairs and sometimes knock one up.
The amount of people judging Prophet in a vacuum and comparing it to the likes of Seedborn Muse is astounding. It's not untap everything during each other player's untap phase or give everything flash that makes the card strong -- it is the combination of both in tandem. With both abilities combined, Prophet of Kruphix would amount to a "free" creature, depending on whether you could keep it alive until the next untap step (which is not too difficult in U, believe it or not), that then proceeded to Timewalk on each other player's turn. Given the fact that U has the best draw and G the best creature tutoring, it wasn't hard to have an answer for every situation or to be able to set up a combo before your next upkeep. On top of that, G gives you the best ramp, thus powering into a turn 3 (or 2 with mana-rocks) was not very difficult. It you weren't able to win a game after sticking a Prophet, it either meant that A: your deck was not very good or B: your opponents had god draws OR cloned your Prophet. If you killed Prophet after 2 cycles around the table, it has usually done too much damage by that point already. Consecrated Sphinx is degenerate too, but players have the upkeep step to deal with it, can clone it, or just kill it when the player has to tap out. Consecrated Sphinx also plays a balancing role on the format by punishing other powerful draw engines.
I ran Prophet in Animar (combo) and the card was just way over the top. Add in flash, Survival, and other instant speed tutors and it's ridiculous. Every untap step I had an answer...being in U after all. The dies to removal point becomes moot when you always have mana up. In creature heavy decks it effectively timewalked on each player's turn. Combo in EDH requires set-up and gets progressively worse with the number of players. Prophet got progressively better with more players and required no set-up other than having good creatures in your deck.

...Dark Confidant, Vendillion Clique, Snapcaster Mage, Grim Lavamancer, Bloodghast, Thalia (and like everything in D&T)...etc...
In standard, it gets to hit the UR and RW manlands which seems ok.
