well if the paladin follows normal suit it will probably be a 3/3 with protection from werewolves, vampires, and zombies, or be a 3/3 firststriker with WW tap destroy target werewolf, vampire, or zombie, with a casting cost of 2WW
Totally stoked about Slim Shady. Glad I kept one of my playsets.
Too bad Wizards scrapped printing legendary permanents in core sets, Braids woulda been perfect for MBC to fully comeback.
Prices would go down if people didn't actually pay these crazy prices for cards. Of course making them mythic makes it a little more tricky, but $30-$50 a card for something in type two is unheard of these days. Crazy times. Guess there are people out there that will pay whatever the price for cards can't blame sellers (or can you?) for that fact.
Do like the fact a lot of other rares are less then a dollar
Jace2, Elspeth, Baneslayer and Tarmogoyf(was ~35-40 while it was in standard) would like a word with you.
QFT...the mirror is the thing I fear, and you usually run into it quite a bit. However it is where skill with the deck shines.(barring the bit blast into bloodbraid into blightning you lose scenarios...)
What's interesting is that everyone is talking about playing this guy on turn 1, in WW, and then others respond that it's a God hand... You guys want to see something really interesting that makes this guy even better?
Turn 1: Plains, Lynx
Turn 2: Fetch, Attack with Lynx, Crack Fetch before damage happens. (4) Play Student, level him once.
Turn 3: Plains/Fetch, Level Student, Attack for 5-7. Second main, play Stoneforge Mystic.
Honestly, I think Student is better as a turn 2 play than a turn 1 play in a lot of situations. He's sort of like your Geopede in mono white, and by playing him on the second turn, you're allowing to put out more damage and keep more threats on the board. Sure he's still a perfectly valid turn 1 play, but it just seems like you'd rather have him on turn 2 or so.
Odd, first time I read about the card this was exactly what I was thinking as well.In my case It would be (going second mind you) 1st turn lynx 2nd turn plains or fetch swing play student level up once 3rd turn play Knight of the White Orchid lvl up swing holding back 1 mana for brave the elements.(or another 1 drop)
