The first quest I had was a Merfolk deck and had some staples like Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca, Jadelight Ranger, and Silvergill Adept. Using some Wildcards and the other free stuff, was able to make a good Merfolk deck. This was all day 1. Exporting my previous decks from the closed beta also helped. Just grind for the wild cards, go to events, and take the loss. Yea, I was annoyed at first, but that's pretty much the challenge.
Thank you for all the suggestions but the Wizards club support thing is out of my reach since I don't live in USA or Canada. School hasn't started yet but I'm already looking for ideas so in case there are Magic players at the school, I can already share the plan and hopefully succeed.
I wear whatever i happen to be wearing that day.
I bring a few dice, calculator, and cards. I also bring a stuffed polar bear as a mascot and kiki-jiki token. It's amazing how many people assume the token is a 2/2, even if it's a copy of a 3/2 troll; I guess people have learned that bear = 2/2 :grin2:
During the game I play fairly normaly. I never interupt an opponent while they are making a bad play.
I tried to play with my hand face down once, only looking at the cards when I draw them, but that failed miserably.
I posted this once but got no replies, so I'm posting it again.
How do I start a playgroup? I'm moving school so that means I'm also leaving my playgroup behind. We weren't really structured, we just met and played games. This time around, I sorta want to make it an official club- one with a designated meeting point in the campus, a designated meeting time and a nerdy teacher supervisor. Can I somehow get the support of my LGS and ask for some Welcome decks as the decks that will stay at the club? I don't really want to leave my decks (although I can let them borrow). Any advice would be appreciated!
Just as the title says; how do you film matches? I know that in big events they have this rig but for casual matches, like kitchen table Magic, how can I record some games?
I don't know much about Commander, but I do see a Sol Ring in every deck. Being a staple in Commander and Brawl being Standard Commander, do you think Sol Ring'll get printed in a Standard set?
This.
