In a 2 player game, where my opponent has hexproof, can the ability of Shadrix Silverquill still trigger?
It says each mode MUST target a different player, but what if it can't?
Can i still target myself, or does the ability do nothing because there is no legal second target?

    Thanks for the help.

I am currently building a Kathril deck, and have constructed 2 versions.

The first relies on 30 or so creatures. To get them into the graveyard i use cards likeburied alive obviously, also dredge, and cards like hermit druid, satyr wayfinder and survival of the fittest
I use a couple of tutors, but that's it. This version is the one i see played the most out there.

The second version only contains 6 creatures with abilities, and some other useful creatures like corpse connoisseur and focuses completely on casting buried alive asap. It is packed with a lot of tutors, about 8 or so (don't forget dimir machinations). Also some recursion like noxious revival in case buried alive gets countered.

Seems like the second version is more effective and to the point. I can usually get kathril on turn 6,7 or 8 and its a big nasty commander that is almost impossible to get rid of so early in the game. In the first version it's more of a challenge to get the creatures in the graveyard but als a lot of fun, I find the second version to be a little bit boring. It just tutor, buried alive, and kathril...

Any thoughts? How would you build it?

I have another question about Kathril. If I use Strionic Resonator when it enters the battlefield, and i have let's say a creature with flying, first strike and lifelink in my graveyard, what happens next? The first triggered ability resolves, giving it the 3 abilities and three +1/+1 counters. On the second time, can i give Kathril again the three abilities and three +1/+1 counters?

So what i am asking is can a creature with an ability counter get another counter with the same ability?

I can not seem to find a clear ruling regarding the 'partner with' mechanic. So, the 2 commanders are in your command zone. When you cast one of the commanders, are you allowed to take the other commander into your hand? Or does it stay in the command zone? Also, are you allowed to put 1 of the commanders in your main deck and the other in the command zone? ( I assume you can not, but just checking)
