So I’m looking at getting back into dredge, a took a break to play kci, and I was wondering how Sideboarding worked.

So I played Bant Spirits backed when CalebD first ran it. The deck was a blast but I didn’t like how painful the manabase was. I’m now switching to UW but was wondering what kind of card draw it had. Would running curious obsession or chart a course work or would it be easier to use something like sea gate wreckage?

How does everyone feel about where affinity fits in the meta now that domanaria is out? Are we still well placed or is it kinda hoping our matchups line up good enough? I bounce between affinity and pyromancer and dredge but I haven't really played affinity or seen it that much at my FNM level lately.

Hey I meant to post this earlier in the week but its exam week at my college so I never had the time. I took affinity but with Bomat Couriers in place of Galv-Blast to some decent success. I ended up going 2-2. I beat RUG Control(i think, it had goyfs, cliques, bolt but it didn't do a whole lot) 2-0, beat burn 2-1. In both games Bomat put in a ridiculous amount of work, against the burn player i ended up drawing 4 cards off of a single bomat.
However my next game was against RUG Midrange, i lost it 2-1 with games 2 and 3 being very close. I was 1 point of damage away from getting it game 3. However i got outvalued by 2 Huntmasters that he force-flipped a couple times. After that, i went against Blue Moon which was rough for me. He kept my board rather small with burn spells. Post board i really didnt feel that much better either.
The deck still played well although im not sure if bomat is the best bet. It has some explosive plays but i also felt like i had to hold back at times to keep a red mana available to draw off bomat.

I would actually run grim flayers over angler and hazoret, as well as keeping the baubles. The deck runs Death Shadow pretty well actually since the 4-c mana base puts our life totals down pretty hard. Grim Flayer is pretty bonkers when you get delirium up. And lets us line up our draws pretty well.

How was hazoret been working out for people? I’m about to finish up building affinity and I remember some people were trying him out in place of a MoE. My meta has a lot of non-white decks like burn, jund, death shadow decks

So borrowed Affinity for the IQ Glassboro over the weekend. I was originally going to play Mardu Pyromancer but a friend of mine let me run his Affinity Deck. The turnout was like 87 people if i remember correctly. Some people legit had to play in a pizza shop that was across the street. I ended up going 4-2 taking 11th place which I was pretty stoked about since it was my second time piloting the deck and my first non-FNM tournament. Not going to lie, some matches I got lucky with my topdecks saving me from misplays. But the deck felt pretty solid in the meta. I remember my matches but not into much detail.
Round 1:GW Tron (2-1)
Round 2: Grixis Death Shadow (2-1)
Round 3: Naya Burn (2-1)
Round 4: Affinity (2-1) The mirror made me slighly brain-dead, and i made one of the biggest misplays i've ever made while playing magic
Round 5: Jund (0-2) This was rough, just always saw answers to everything i played
Round 6: BW Eldrazi (1-2) Matchup is hard because they can block etched champion and can displace away lethal swings as well as ravager counters. Game 3 he drops thought knot turn 2 ripping my aether grid from my hand and drops stony silence the next turn

Hey guys, I've been looking at building death and taxes for a while and I'm finally getting around to building it. However I'm a little stuck as to which build to go with. My meta has a good amount of control and titan decks in it.
