Are there going to be Legendary Creatures in Unstable's other factions?
Pretty sure there will be. Rosewater mentioned in his driving to work podcast that they had a variety of formats in mind as they designed Unstable, including Commander. Although, this from blogatog essentially confirms it

I mean we're already bending the rules to even play this card, though it's worth noting that sideboard/wishboards or anything "outside of the game" isn't a thing in Commander like it is in other formats.
If we're bending the rules to allow un-cards I'm not sure the literal spikiest card is the right way to go.
I just like the idea of playing her in a format with 40 life, where you can guarantee to cast and activate her turn two if not earlier, and fish out some broken crap. I'll grant you, though, that trick is probably only funny once
I can never unsee Nicol Bolas as a Bond villain anymore. Or Vraska as a Bond girl. What the heck, "Jace" even sounds similar to "James". You have given the community a tremendous gift this day.
My initial reaction to contraption was mixed too, but I think they'll be fun to play - and my suspicion is that we've only seen the tamest ones so far. After all, the point of MaRo's article where most of them were spoiled was just to explain how they work. With 90% of the set still unknown, I bet there's plenty of high-octane nonsense left in the set.
We shouldn't underestimate the role of flavour in shaping the experience either. I know I'm more jazzed to dome someone with a Bouncing Beebles than with any old 2/2 cuz, well, they're Beebles! The creature type alone was considered too goofy for black-border! But then again, I *am* kind of a filthy casual, so. *shrug*
