I think Teferi & Chromium are solid finishers, however I’m going to try & splash red for some Nicol B Ravagers.

I think Doom Whisperer is going to be a crazy finisher in an Esper list.

this does go in stompy although it would be not as good to take out elves for the quick ramp into Steelleaf.
Mana elves don't go into stompy. They go into rampy. Turn 2 should be spent playing Kalonian Tusker or Avatar of the Resolute... or Rancor. Rancor is always a good decision.

Llanowar elves do go into stompy. They enable a turn 2 Steel Leaf Champion. It's the best play in the entire deck (at least in standard, looks like you're talking about modern)
They would also enable the second best start which is having a turn 2 Pelt Collector and Thorn Lieutenant/Merfolk Branchwalker and then start swinging away.

This card is also making me consider doing a sultai Hadana's Climb deck even more.

Getting a playset of this for my stompy deck for sure!!!

Going to make turn 1 and 2 way more versatile if you don't have Llanowar and Steel Leaf in the opening hand. You can have this and Thorn Lieutenant in the opening hand and also get a good start and get some early threats going.

Wouldn't it have the same effect as the first part of Dusk/Dawn ?

Yeah. I've only seen a couple of decks have one in the sideboard, but still... I'm worried hehe.

So.... how ****ed are with when our opponent drops this card? Citywide bust? Seems like it's going to kill this deck in the new meta..... Frown

Looks disappointing enough to be real. Cranial Extraction abilities just seem to never really evolve beyond the core use (and the card draw for the opp is just bad).

Did Lost Legacy even see play in Standard? Do they need an effect like this always in standard?

Lost Legacy was a key sideboard card against Approach decks in Standard. You absolutely needed that card if you were creature based and ran black when Approach decks were heavy in the meta.

I saw some decks side it in against Heart of Kiran too, but it wasn't really effective.
    .

Of course it wasn't effective versus Heart of Kiran, as Lost Legacy can't name artifacts.

That said, this card will be useful and welcome in Standard. I played B/x every since I came back to MtG last year, and whether playing MBC, MB Midrange, BG Reanimator,et al, I always played a copy or two of legacy in the sideboard. My most recent deck played one maindeck. Resolved one a few weeks ago against a tapped out U/W player with three Teferi in his hand and he drew three cards. Didn't matter though, that was the game.

My bad, forgot it didn't target artifacts. I'm thinking of something else....

Yeah, Lava Coil is awesome sideboard tech. Takes care of a Phoneix and bigger creatures if you combine it with a Shock or something. Great card.

Could be worth running Hadana's Climb for a more aggressive version of Sultai and use Jadelight Rangers and Branchwalkers to trigger the flip faster.

I really want to make a Sultai Steel Leaf Stompy and use Hadana's Climb to fly creatures in for beatdowns, but I don't think Steel Leaf Champions will like a 3 colour deck.... Frown

    There probably is.

Need roughly 22 green sources to get Steel Leaf Champion out by T3.

I just love Hadana's Climb hehe, such a sick card, but I have a feeling the deck will need Breeding Pool before it could be a thing though.

The trample ability is awesome. Could be very good in a stompy style deck.

    Saporlings got their PW.

I'm really hype for Steel Leaf Stompy post rotation, but man... Playing saprolings is really fun and I think it's going to be bonkers post rotation hehe.

If our deck is all red 1 drops like it is now then I don't want any double blue cards in my deck. Steam vents is barely better spirebluff canal for fixing. You start putting red 1 drops and 2 drop double blue cards then you'll start having to play izzet guildgate and that is very bad for this deck. A wizard's retort deck starts with a blue 1 drop not a red one. Not to mention completely losing the ability to run any goblin chainwhirlers.

I couldn't do a mono-red deck. Just can't see that working. I get what your saying though.

Is it just me or is the Guildgate art way cooler than the new Steam Vents art. The guildgate looks awesome.
