This should really be an enchantment with an ETB ability. Also the rules don't support "When you have no cards in your hand, you lose the game" properly, as it will lose you the game for wheeling, even though if you did the same thing with your life total (set it to 0 then immediately gained life without SBEs being checked) you wouldn't lose.
303.4d An Aura can't enchant itself. If this occurs somehow, the Aura is put into its owner's graveyard. An Aura that's also a creature can't enchant anything. If this occurs somehow, the Aura becomes unattached, then is put into its owner's graveyard.
This ties the game making infinite planeswalkers as soon as it hits the field. Opponent gets a token copy, which triggers so you get a token copy, etc.
This is not a debate. We are trying to help you with the wording of your card. If you want to be obtuse (I have no idea what your last post meant either) then don't be surprised if you don't get any help.
There are many rules issues here. What if they have multiple cards with the same name? How do you know which one they can't cast?
Say this effect goes off, then next turn they cast the chosen card. "I just drew a second copy," they say. How do you fix this issue without calling a judge?
This plays horribly with your set mechanics. In your Deus Ex Machina set players are wheeling and drawing cards all over the place. You get this effect off on me, then I cast one of your spells that lets me shuffle in three cards and draw three or whatever. I cast two spells with the same name as the card you chose. "I shuffled in the one you picked and drew them both," I say. How do you tell if I'm cheating? How for that matter does a judge tell if I'm cheating?
Let’s say I mutate Nethroi onto something and grab that Titan and some other things. Does the titan get counters from the other creatures grabbed?
Yes, they all enter at the same time.
This is incorrect for the same reason a Clone can't be a copy of something it ETBs with. The counters aren't a triggered ability but a replacement effect.
Feign doesn't work at all in Commander and is hard to make work in Limited. Why would you ever draft a mythic with feign? You're never going to see another one.
It's also a bunch of free sacrifice triggers in any sac based deck.
More of this "when this spell enters or leaves the stack" stuff? I know these are "artisanal" Magic cards but that's the clunkiest ability I've ever seen.
As written your original card lets you fetch all the land out of your deck for free and make 1 mana for each one provided you run all the artifact lands.
Why does everyone run master of waves in this deck? Dont the tokens just die unless you already have something like gauntlet or caged sun in play? If you blink him that is
State based effects are not checked in the middle of an ability resolving, only right before any player would receive priority. If you blink Master of Waves with Thassa's ability there is never a time SBEs are checked when MoW is not on the battlefield.
What is wrong with:
"When you cast ~this~, any player may shuffle their (NOTE: NOT "his or her") hand into their library and draw four cards."
That is how to write this ability. Why does it even have the possibility to choose to do it before and/or after?
If there is some tactical reason, please give an example where it makes any difference whether we do it on cast versus on resolution,
