Would this deck be a candidate for Collected Company? Coco into Dreadnought and Honor Guard?

I can maaasybe understand your arguments for the months where we had Push, Hub, Path and so on, but let's remember that those are the exceptions. Most FNM promos were 50 cent cards...? Did you guys really let an Unlisenced Disintegration or Noose Constrictor decide when you play, or what format you play? Even last month I wouldn't play, say, Standard FNM over a Legacy Thursday or Modern Tuesday for just a chance to get the Push. It's a nifty card, but it's just, what, four-five bucks? And the EV of just maybe getting one is even lower. I'm not letting the price of a cup of coffee determine what and how I play.

Noose Constrictor, or Unlicensed Disintegration? No. But I did draft a few times for a Fatal Push, Spatial Contortion, and Firey Temper. It's not about the value, it's about the card. I play Fatal Push, I like promos, I can skip a week of legacy.
But... if you want Spatial Contortion and prefer Legacy, why don't you play Legacy and buy the Spatial Contortion at 50 cents a piece? How can an EV of 25c (or even $2 for Push) swing your decision? It doesn't make any sense to me.

But you know what? It doesn't have to. If you're telling me that the promos drew you to attend FNMs, then it did, and the logic and reasoning behind it is irrelevant for the topic. So I guess I stand corrected, this might actually have a negative impact on FNM attendance. If/when it does, I hope they are quick to respond and bring them back.

I prefer one over the other, but that is not to the point of exclusivity.

And you're right, it doesn't have to be the most logical choice, because I am not a robot I often make choices based on emotion.

So if I play War's Toll and next turn my opponent taps for 6, would that mean they can only cast 1 mana spells or abilities and not cast that 6 mana ability. Please Help

They can cast anything that their 6 mana can pay for. War's toll is a triggered ability so they could respond by tapping the other five lands in response to the first trigger. Or, As war's toll is a triggered ability, it can't go onto the stack until you receive priority. So they could hold priority after tapping land 1 and tap the remaining 5 for mana. Or, the cost for a spell doesn't have to be paid, and the mana abilities to pay for it don't have to be paid until the spell is cast, so they could announce a spell with a CMC of 6 or less, pay for it, and then war's toll would trigger. These are just the top of my head reasons why they can cast any spell 6 or less.

No. Julian Knab and Bob Huang decided to hype up a nonexistent deck with a catchy name to see what would happen. There were a few tweets about it, then someone on reddit posted several threads about losing to it/Rishadan Brigand spiking in price/the ethics behind sharing a semi-public list/etc using a bunch of alts, which helped whip everyone into a frenzy over it. You can read Bob Huang's article about it here if you want a little more info on it.

That said, there was a flurry of brewing around the idea trying to figure out the list and some of those lists have had some minor success (4-1 MTGO finish with a first draft). Most of that probably goes back to the stompy shell winning games on it's own, regardless of color or additional threats. Even then, there might be something passable for small events hiding in there.

Sekki, Seasons' Guide would be great to cheat in with those cards. You can double it's +1/+1 counters when it enters, and then each point of damage gives you double the 1/1 spirits, so you could theoretically come out ahead when Sekki finally does die.
Actually, I just thought of something: Sekki, Seasons' Guide and Pandemonium is an infinite combo!

Savage Summoning is a good way to force creatures through, for that purpose it's better than the pair from Torment because it can't be countered itself and gives a +1/+1 counter. The other two though are cantrips though.

Also, Leyline of Lifeforce is something I include in the sideboard of my stompy decks because it is always on.

I can't seem to find a straight answer. Is it?

I´m not the first to say this, but I really don´t get the argument that "ugh now I don´t have any incentive to go to my store to play Magic". Don´t we go there to play Magic with people? Unless the promo was extremely good, like Path or Push, I didn´t ever see it have any influence on the decision to attend FNM.

As far as FNM is concerned? I don't. Between Legacy, Modern, draft and Standard my store is running plenty of events for me to come and play and I can't play them all. So offering me a good promo is incentive for me to play draft and Standard because those are the FNM formats. I like Legacy and Modern more but for the right promo I'll draft instead that week.

I think replacing the FNM promo cards with tokens is a terrible, horrible decision, same with unraveling Game Day, but I don´t see it leading to me playing any less or more. I just think lesser of WotC, that´s all.

Agree with everything here except a minor quibble about game day: I did think two weeks after release was too early.
