I just skimmed / read through all of the MTGS 2016 invitational for... I don't really remember the reason to be honest. I think I was going to do some spider posts since we were reaching the end of the game and wanted to irk voxx from the grave. Probably just got carried away reading it. Also now am not going to do it, voxx was very anti-spider. Holy **** Iso (the player) was a force that game, I really wish I got to play with that dude at his peak. Hopefully it will happen again, last game I played with him he was a vig who miss shot(? iirc) and we ended up either lynching him or having him in the PoE as regfan murdered everyone I loved while being top town. Actually don't remember how that game went but I'm pretty sure mafia won.
Something about talking about old mafia games really releases endorphins. I think there's something in the shared experience aspect of it.
There's a weird sentiment in the post game of the invitational about the low amount of fun that game had for people, and not just on a "tom was an annoying spider" thing but there was an air of frustration around the game that felt uneasy I guess? Also the town stomp nature led to people being more lethargic and play the "let's follow iso" game which... is somewhat happening here.
I'm also noticing I'm randomly picking up typing habits of voxx and I don't really know how I feel about it. Like the elipsis thing. And some of the sentence break things. I think this is partially a product of playing in that DLP game where we were supposed to post in complete sentences with proper punctuation and grammar so I might have naturally just sponged voxx since he was my townread scum buddy. Also I think I'm mentally sucking his dick since his wim in games reminds me of how I used to play when I was at my peak but with just an overall more solid team building and emphasis on fundamentals (where I'm a little more uh... loose cannon and swingy. I'm either really right or really wrong or just a pile of mushy null reads)
I'm not really sure why I'm writing all this, I'm sitting in my towel kind of hungry about to go make some hotdogs and potstickers. My team chat is really enjoyable though, shadow and tom are two of the nicest and fun people I've had a pleasure of working with and relaxing to.
My to-do list is still the same, but I want to poke into the minimafia zoom since I'm representing them in MU finals or something.
Marko I need you to big dick a case on the worst if you want them lynched because at the moment when I churn all my thoughts in the game I keep ending up just sitting on Tubba and if everything goes to ***** kill Titus.
Also we need to have that awkward talk about if it's mechanically correct to no lynch / mass claim. I'm toying with the idea of having everyone claim their flavor name so I can um. Deduce something. I believe this is within the rules of the game to do and I honestly feel kind of *****ty even offering it since it could be considered not in the spirit of the game but I'm too curious and I want to be right.
My current thoughts ATM are to lynch tubba and if the game continues to have you guys play out the f4 and then sleep. Which I know seems counter intuitive but I think the way this game is moving our late game villagers at full are good solvers so the added wifom for the kill won't be too debilitating.
Wrt “Titus wouldn’t hard defend osieslot” she totally would but agree with Marko about it not being her style to leave grapefruit high and dry.
