ISBPathfinder posted a message on FNM promos go back to STD legal cardsI kind of liked the tokens but I wish we could get foil tokens just like..... in normal doing things rather than replacing something like the FNM promos. Like.... if I could get a foil token in place of a regular token in a pack now and then not as a replacement for foil cards but lets be honest, most foil commons are junk anyways so maybe I would be ok with foil tokens in packs as the foil pickup.Posted in: The Rumor Mill -

tstorm823 posted a message on Random Card of the Final Day: Maelstrom NexusIxidronPosted in: Commander (EDH)
This card inspires me to bring up one of personal list of the 3 worst rules in Magic: the Gathering.
711.6. A double-faced permanent always has the status “face up” (see rule 110.6). Double-faced
permanents can’t be turned face down. If a spell or ability tries to turn a double-faced permanent
face down, nothing happens.
That's stupid. While I'd agree, it's better to do nothing than to have werewolves transform when Ixidron enters, they seem to have ignored the possibility of turning double-faced cards face-down anyway. If you're playing DFCs, you have to have a way to turn them face down, whether its a checklist card or a sleeve to put it in, because you have to be able to bounce the card to hand or shuffle it into your library anyway, so why they wouldn't just have you do that, I don't know. It's a stupid rule. -

But, still, better this than they print blocks like Theros / Homelands / Masqueses / Kamigawa only so that they avoid having to ban anything. Risk taking is good for all eternal formats. -

Wow, who could have guessed all these unserious concepts actually made it to print on official cards in some form. Colorless mana, join=augment/host. But oh no, the Supreme Council of Armchair Designers has deemed these unworthy of any discussion.
Warning for... well, that's really strange, why would you do this?
Warning for 4+ year thread necromancy in order to flame. -

Jay13x posted a message on Dealing with the oversensitivity of groups in society - how do you keep caring? In all seriousness, have you considered you're just not as good a person as you believe you are?Posted in: Talk and Entertainment
Your entire post here says "I'm all for freedom and equality! Except when it means I'm not already a good person doing all the right things."
It's pretty clear you've made up your mind where the problem is on all these issues, especially because you seem to know you're in the key "I don't see it, it doesn't impact me, so I don't get it" demographic. So what, exactly, are we supposed to talk about?
I absolutely would have agreed with this post ten years ago. I thought I knew everything, and that it was just other people being stupid.
Then I realized I'd been heavily influenced by just one side of the story. I started reading research and real articles on the issues I thought were settled and people were oversensitive. Ostensibly, to tear them apart for being so dumb. I started working EMS among the "lazy, oversensitive" communities. I paid attention to the actual arguments people I disagreed with were making, not the strawmen that people I agreed with made them out to be. And no, they weren't all correct in my view, but it was a vastly different experience.
You know what I found out? I was just an ********. -

Gashnaw posted a message on 4 player FFA deck with set rules of deck constructionThis may eventualy chnage to a 50 dola budget instead but these are ther ule set in place at the momentPosted in: Multiplayer
1- You must be running a Legendary creature. This creature acts as your clor restrictions (Much like a commander does in EDH)
2- Rarity has restrictions of how many copies you may run (Common-4, Uncommon-3 Rare and Mythic-2)
3- Lands may be common or uncommon (not rare) This is to prevent people with a higher budget to play with a bunch of fetches, shocks and ABURs
4- Unwritten rule but it suppose to be for casual fun, no aim for Johnny rottentail. I guess people can build timmy decks if they want since it is casual, And spike is going to be non existent.
So yea that is what i have to go on Unfortunately, i have no idea what type of deck to build witin these restrictions. i am thinking of running one of the tri-color dragons but not sure. -
