I was just curious, do any of you see a reprint on Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded coming? Clearly as he's currently printed he's pretty garbage card. But I was thinking with one tweak he could be viable. I was hoping to get a version like this:
[+1]: Target player draws a card, then discard a card at random.
[-3]: Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded deals damage equal to the number of cards in target player's hand to that player.
[-6]: Gain control of all creatures until end of turn. Untap them. They gain haste until end of turn.

I'd love to use this in my draw/discard deck with the two changes highlighted.

Yeah I want to put this into my deck which already has Waste Not. I want something which easily provides blockers that are throw away. Maybe I should ask for 'Zombie Goblins' instead. Lol.
But your right. Zombies are typically 2/2. I just don't want my enchantment to be made that expensive. And discarding any card for a 2/2 seems very strong/broken.
I feel there aren't enough magic cards which trigger due to discard that are cheap so I'm trying to brain storm cards.
I'm still trying to give love to those underworld dreams and liliana's caress decks. Here a card I think would be good for both and also fit in a 'helper' EDH deck. Cost is the same as howling mine, though it's slightly different.

At the beginning of each player's draw step that player draws an additional card. For each additional card drawn this way that player discards a card.
Can someone else further explain why burning inquiry is so bad for the game? I mean from my perspective it's basically just used in Hollowed One decks, and those as of late aren't nearly as popular as they were a year ago.
From my perspective it gave red good disruption at the cost of card advantage. I don't see this card destroying games. And It never got the ban hammer so it can't be that bad.
I thought more about this card and people are just going to put it on their own beneficial creature. Maybe it'd be better if instead of owner draws and discards a card of their choice. It should be made so everyone draws and discards a card of their choice.
Does anyone know of any cards that operate similar to burning inquiry. I'm looking for a cheap card (pref 1-2 mana) that forces opponents to draw cards and then discard cards.
I thought it'd be easy to find but I'm having alot of difficulty. The closest I've come to is wistful thinking. I'm hoping to find it in black, red, or colourless if possible.
Trying to show love to those underworld dreams, and Liliana's caress decks. Plus it could be a power house with the commander Nekusar, the Mindrazer decks. The idea is the card benefits the person victimized by it, but combo'ing leads to alot of fun. Have you ever wanted to kill your own creature?
Nekusar's Infiltrator
Enchant Creature - (U/R)(U/R)
Enchanted creature attacks each combat if able.
For each damage dealt it's owner must draw a card and discard a card.
Isn't Wizards moving away from land destruction? Don't they view it as un-fun game play to be on the receiving end of it?
I wouldn't hold my breathe on all the land destruction. But you might get your blue cards.

Thanks! Now I just need to pray it gets made so I can have some fun.
