Okay, I loved Aetherworks Marvel in Standard. So, alright, it was a bit unfun if you were the opposition and had two lands exiled on Turn 4. I get it. The banning was well deserved. However, this is Modern, and unfair broken cards is the reason we love it, right?
The difficulty of the deck back then was having an opening hand with 2 Ulamogs, or not drawing the Marvel. Hopefully the new Mulligan rules resolve the former, and in terms of card draw, Modern gives us access to better cantrips, hence snow lands and the astrolabe. We also now have access to protection spells in the sideboard as well as Emrakul!
It still is a more or less all-in kind of deck. You want energy, you want to find Marvel a.s.a.p. and cast a big Eldrazi. You'll fall to pieces against discard and chances are most games will be a dice roll. But hey, we Hearthstone now anyway.
Here is a link to my take on it for Modern
