I gave up wheel effects because dark deal is lame and other colors would put me in a mana base problem, since a bunch of cards in this list have restrictive costs.
And I agree that discard is more effective, so sad
I've seeing lots of people building Underworld Dreams decks based on artifacts like Howling Mine, Temple Bell,Font of Mythos and so on. What's wrong with this kind of build? It's the inefficientiest way to kill somebody, and with lots of cards in hand you usualy help your opponents more than hurt (even worse in faster formas, in my case modern).
I didn't wanted to let my Dreams deck to die, so I started to try some new way to play this card beside the tempo loss, and this is the list I ended up:
With this control shell i have 6 spot removals (3 of them gainin' me life) plus Gearhulk and Ob Nixilis and 3 wipes (Expertises). The Expertises and Treasure Keepers allows me to play Dreams without gating behind on board. Ob Nixilis' ult is a win-on-spot, but never happened in a real game, still can give me card advante as well. Sign in Blood can keep both mine or my opponent's hand full for Dreams+Puzzle Box damage and the brand new Sword-Point Diplomacy is still untested but I'm preety sure will work well because nobody wants neither to fill a combo deck's hand or take 9 damage vs a deck that kill you just by passing turns.
If the mainplain goes wrong, I can still beat the **** out of someone with power 5 creatures with some evasion.
The perfect turn progression (on play) is:
t1: swamp
t2: swamp, sign in blood my self or grasp something for tempo
t3: either master of the feast or dreams (since the creature is better for a first block vs aggro math ups)
t4: fate unraveler and start dealing some flying damage with master OR puzzle box if dreams is already on board OR expertise into dreams or diplomacy
I really want to hear suggestions and ideas. I feel that Dark Petition fits this deck somewhere for Petition into Dreams or into 1 Puzzle Box. For sometime I tried to play with Molten Psyche and Brain in a Jar but didn't work as great as I wanted to.
