I strongly feel these types of decks need 4 Hero's Downfall main. Anafenza and Ashiok are the biggest threats to the deck and Hero's Downfall deals with them quite nicely. Double black and eating your turn is a bit awkward, but it ensures that those cards are not on the board.

If-and this is a huge if because this is a casual format where the IPG shouldn't be relevant-you're going by the IPG, pixie is right and you do leave it in the bin. It's a non-optional trigger, without choices, that has a visual effect, and isn't within a turn cycle. Realistically, it goes whichever way the group wants it to go. I've played with groups where it would have been shuffled in many turns later, and I've also played in groups that would just leave it there.
it is actually a replacement effect, so it will never ever be put into a graveyard unless it loses that ability, see humility, sudden spoiling, lignify, etc. so if you wanted to fix the game state in a casual game and the colossus had the shuffle in ability, you would shuffle it in as soon as you realized that it is in a graveyard, no matter how late in the game.

the reason to play Circu over other UB generals is because A.) he exists; 2.) he targets libraries; and iii.) in multiplayer games you could randomly blow someone out because they forget about that last ability and they can't cast their spell.
the commander replay rule doesn't increase the cmc, it is additional cost to cast the commmander for each time it was previously cast from the command zone. so aluren works.
red is terrible in this format, most of the commons will be grabbed up real early, splashing red is pretty common. i say lurking crocodile or ponder. the only other good blue card in the drake, so we probably don't need to worry too much about that. i wouldn't have picked acidic slime p1p1, so i want to move towards blue. blue is very strong in this format.
proxying is really only bad from a wizards perspective because it can mean people aren't buying their product. older cards (like those usually played in commander) which no longer are being printed don't make wizards (for the most part) any money when it comes to non-tournament play. as proxies aren't allowed in sanctioned tournaments, i don't really see what other formats people could use proxies in besides the aforementioned testing and casual. Casual to me at least is about having fun, and if i wanna play with some card that i don't own, proxying gives me a way to do that.
i don't really care if people proxy as long as i know what cards they are playing.
For those who seem to have strong opinions about proxying, why does it matter that much. If they are playing decks that aren't fun, then don't play with them/let them know that that deck isn't fun to play against. if the proxied deck is fun, then encourage them to get the cards, but it really shouldn't matter whether i own the cards or not. as long as people are having fun and not using proxies in sanctioned tournaments.
if your getting mana screwed your doing it wrong, there is enough mana fixing in this format to be able to play this deck with ease. other options would be to shuffle better or to make better mulliganing decisions.
i've liked running 3 necrotic ooze and some ooze packages and running 1 trinket mage and 1 m. nite shamalan. i think i still have like 1 space left over for something, but i'm still working out the kinks.

i saw a WR list played in a nationals LCQ, i don't remember the decklist off hand, but i'll be posting some stuff later close to that, it played kabira crossroads, angelsong (now safe passage), another route that doesn't involve blue, but blue still might be the right call, i'll post back soon with a rough list
