I wish they made more! I think this deck will require a few wizards include Soul scar, lava runner, and journey mage. This will enable bolt as well which will be crucial and if necessary firefist at 5 cmc might seal games. We will see soon.
I am really glad you posted this because I have been monitoring variants of the deck closely from as many valid sources as possible. I have noticed this player Andreas_Mueller and it's also interesting it was switched from the name above(maybe requested it?) Up until today, this list ran a Nahiri Fatal Push Heavy Moonless mainboard and they made 4 changes to the sideboard between challenges. Between the last two Challenges, the majority remains the same but one notable Mainboard change was Liliana the last hope, which was also the PW at GP Hartsford. The sideboard was changes +2 Blood Moon, +1 Nahiri, -1 Leyline of the Void, -1 Liliana of the Veil, -1 Rabble.
I have to agree that this particular player seems to be making the best weekly adjustments to the meta. On a separate note, would anyone mind sharing strategy/sequencing/timing to maintain tempo. As an example, I have played the deck a ton and this is not a 3 turn suicide death's shadow issue lol but I seem to be 50/50 on tempo. I understand there is variance and it's magic but does anyone have suggestions or cardinal rules that tend to lead to better tempo. For example, I tend to keep 7 if I have discard, 2-3 lands and additional disruption. Thank you in advance for any advice whether it be a sweet spot on Loots to start with etc.
Another topic, Gerry T put out an article today with his current list absent of blood moon. As he states it's meta/anticipation heavy period on slots but in terms of the deck performing the way it did in Toronto, I think is the reasoning for removing them. I've tested 10 leagues today with his list(granted online is a grain of salt activity) and I have to say I think at the moment it's appropriate. I posted the link below, it's basically the same but I do like the addition of crumble to dust versus molten/stone.
Thank you I really appreciate the feedback. I gave Chandra plenty of repetitions going blood moon heavy and while her modes are relevant LOTV hasn't been all around the best unless plains aren't a splash. In that case, it's hard to argue with nahiri having tempo, removal and even her ultimate. Thank you again.
If the group would kindly help me out, what's preference on LOTV vs Chandra vs Nahiri?? I can't seem to decide between Chandra and LOTV but I'm leaning towards Chandra. Also, any opinions on GP phoenix'a version?
Hope this note finds everyone winning with Grixis. When taking more of a control approach, I always get to 7+ turns hence I combo Locust god and Nezahal if playing blue black from the sideboard. It can get vicious. Anyone else here try that or more focused on mid range stomp?
I was actually stopping by to post something I may have overlooked in previous discussion. Anger of the Gods is excellent, especially with dredge appearing more but it occurred to me running 18 lands has made that card extremely difficult against most matchups besides dredge(even dredge if they SB GQ). I think running Izzet in its place with Kozilek's or 1-2 Tendrils depending on mix is the way to go. I also thought I'd mention that echoing truth is performing very well for me. Hope everyone is winning! Please criticize, add on etc!

I may be in the wrong place, however, has anybody played around with the Grixis variant playing 4 mishra’s baubles?
If you aren't playing Tarmogoyf and Traverse the Ulvenwald, I really can't see the need for baubles. If you are talking about the Goyf deck, you need to look for the Jund Shadow thread, as they sometimes splash blue.
Sultai Delirum, Sultai control or Sultai midrange unless you want to go the lean fast Version with just Goyf and shadow plus Wraith.
I tried to crack the puzzle on Sultai shadow and it's simply too defensive. You have some nice answers but it's hard to consistently win over 50%. Good luck.
I'm not sure if everyone looks at the daily Wizards results but today was a great example of how the deck falls into analysis paralysis way too often. The top Grixis deck (which Wizards/Goldfish standings always differ) is as straightforward as it gets. My angler Denial heavy finished 10thish which is truly consistent in the right meta. Anyway I think it speaks to the core strength of GDS, panic over a few bad outings and meta aside there's not much to fix card wise.
I've noticed majority of lists have cut surgical. Any idea why people believe this is correct?
By the way, I Cut Tasigur and went Gurmag/Stubborn heavy and it has been stronnnng.
As much as I love the card (I know I'm gonna get blasted), I have never liked collective brutality in this deck. The velocity generally leaves cards in my hand that I don't want to discard. Sorcery speed instant/sorcery...eh. -2/-2 too late. Life gain, no thanks. For those 2-3 slots I prefer counter magic but please by all means correct me. I might be using it awfully wrong.
One last thing, Pyromancer- Legacy Delver amazing, GDS no thanks. I'd rather go wide with Bitterblossom
Also- Visions vs Opt does not have a correct answer if you ask me. However, I have like you all extensively tested the two and the one thing I'm beyond sure on is on the play 4 Visions all day. I play 2 Opt MB also, however I want Visions early and Opt late/top deck. Visions has always been critical for set up for me and gives me an idea of where I'm at in the game.
