My biggest complaint of Renegade Rallier is that the creature comes back after combat, which really doesn't give us the pump from Resilient Khenra. That's why Aviary Mechanic seemed interesting.
Haven't seen this deck posted yet, but it absolutely destroyed me at a standard showdown and after recently building it, I can confirm it is extremely fun to play.
Couple things I'm curious of to improve it.
1. Ramunap is a true race. The deck can run out of steam and be beat by a sac'd Ramunap or Hezoret's ability. I'm thinking Suncourge would help here a lot, but some extra card draw would be nice as well. Any suggestions?
2. I've been toying with the idea of using Aviary Mechanic to bounce back Resilient Khenra to pull off the +x/+x again the next turn. Seems like adding more than 2 Aviary's could hurt the race however. Think this is a reliable add?
3. I took this sideboard from a recent MTGTop8 event. I think there is still room to improve the SB with some more card draw options.
I'm curious with bolt coming back if Filigree Familiar would be a nice replacement for Kitchen Finks. You still get the life gain, but if your opponent knocks it off you get the card advantage too.
Is Aven Mindcensor to support Leonin? Is it needed in the mainboard?
I really like the idea behind this deck, but it seems like the chances of getting a Tocatli on the field is the biggest draw back. Anyway to tutor them out?
Round 1 2-0 against Jeskai Control
Round 2 2-1 against Temur Energy
Round 3 2-0 against Esper Tokens
Round 4 2-0 against Boros Dinos
Ruin raider is an absolute house for us. I can see him hurting in an aggro mirror, but in any game where your opponent is not pressuring your life total he is the best card in the deck. I think the pirate sub theme is worth it because lookout's dispersal is a house, and one of the most powerful cards in standard. Hostage taker and siren stormtamer both really over performed for me as well.
I'm more of a tempo player than an aggro one, so I really like the blue splash. It made the jeskai control and esper tokens matchup feel like a joke.
I really like this list as a budget pirate god. Does metallic mimic have a better spot in it than Scrapheap?
Insult/Injury gives you a similar end result without having the chance to just loose. I would love to counter their turn and then just blow them out though lol.
Heroic Intervention seems good.
God I know, I want Glorious End to be as epic as it's name but other cards kinda do the same thing without the glitz and glamor unfortunately.
Insult/Injury is nice, especially since it's two spells in on. Maybe Heroic in the SB, Insult in the main?
I'm brewing something similar to the Riddleform version off Goldfish. Why not include Heroic Intervention? Seems perfect to hang onto all game to get that last turn in for the win. Speaking of getting in that extra swing, does Glorious End finally have a home in a deck like this? I'd imagine you'd pick one of the other, but 2 copies of one of those cards could be a game changer.
I feel like Favorable Winds decks need speed, especially if it's up against Dinos/Gifts/Second Sun. I think throwing in Red gives you more removal in Lightning Strike/Shock but these spells can also be used to hit the player. On top of that there is Dinosaur Stampede which can really do some unexpected damage.
To me the only problem with the Favorable Winds type deck is it is really a race against the clock.
What can be done about the new found grave hate about to hit standard? Between Abrade,Crook, Sentinel Totemand even Tocatli Honor Guard to some extent, this deck is losing some steam. I actually like the one drops for W,U for the deck. Maybe incorporating B for disruption could help.
Hour of Eternity would be bringing back 4/4 flyers. If any Favorable Winds are out there they will be 5/5 or higher.
Glorious End seems really intriguing as if you know you can win with some burn, you can just ensure you get the win.
Dino Stampede is what really makes this shine. With a curve of having 2 flyers, and a Favorable Wind out by turn 3, you can go in for double digit damage turn 4.
Is Cloudblazer really that powerful? I'm hoping to complete this build today, but have tested the deck out and just don't see the benefit of Cloudblazer.
I really like the idea of Pious Evangel as a way to finish games, and to have actions to do against control decks.
Cartouche of Strengthseems like a better fit to me than Cartouche of Solidarityespecially against Ramanup.

The combo of Resilient Khenra with your double strike creatures like Adorned Pouncer or even Adanto Vangaurd can turn the game in your favor very quickly.

Settle the Wreckage seems ideal as a sideboard option. Any downside?
And finally what about rolling one Thalia, Heretic Cathar and three Kinjalli's Sunwing instead of Serra Avenger?

Really looking forward to piloting this.
