Captured by the Consulate provides a little protection for your Commander, and can return via Tiana's Marchesa like ability.
It's a tool for combating collusion between 2 other players. If you played alot of Commander games and many players/playgroup, you will realize, Some games the players are colluding.. and it's very hard trying to put aura or equiping yr commander with 2 to 3 player's worth of resources/removal.
I have seen yr other threads, you really don't like tutors.. As for me, I am not a fan of excessive tutoring too, but I do allow myself the maximum of 2 tutors in one deck, ... in a metagame of non combo, sometimes you just need to find something to stop people from going cray cray.
The problem with Glissa, while you are just a valuetown commander, you are often perceived as threat...so its hard to keep her around.
Graveyard hate is also a problem, you can try to bait out relic , play wisely or just play at least 3 to 4 artifact hate cards and play around bojuka bog.
lastly glissa have problem closing games...
here are a few more cards that you can consider Sylvok Replica - Team "I hate graveyard hate" Attrition - glue of your deck , someone has to do the killing for glissa... helps get creatures to graveyard Command tower - best land in commander?
One of the cheaper tutor that have worked well in my Sidisi edh is Jarad's Orders
You can tutor for a solution while setting up for a threat to be recurred
Hi tev
I have a habit of roughly grouping decklist by functionality. So I just roughly grouped your listing. Some cards have multiple functions, but I grouped them by their primary function. Lands are excluded from the function, as their primary function is to tapped for mana..
So which cards is put in the wrong group? or which group is wrongly named

Don't think jet medallion is good, not creature, reduction for black spell only. Be it combo or aggro, the amount of creatures this deck need is high.
Tev's aggro listing main consideration are probably Creatures before and after marchesa, enough number of high ceiling creatures cards that would impact the board, Black devotion cards that are useful and help the gray merchant... and replacing the non creature permanents in the deck with new cards that is similar or better.
well, in my meta, there is a good player piloting an annoying Phenax deck, which he ran scrambling claw and nihil spellbomb and his other deck ephara also ran relic of progenitus and scrabbling claw that is fetchable by trinket mage.
I went the route of including 3 creatures that destroy the artifacts along with some "glue" card like clones, victimise, phyrexian reclaimation and living death. I can't say I can handle all graveyard hate, but at least I have a fighting chance against those using the artifact kind. On some games that has less hate ... I still use the artifact hate to slow the players down.

I played 2 games with this general. I have bad experience.
Game 1, my life total got too low, i became an unwilling hostage to say yes to all Athreos 'trigger.
Game 2 i was the best player in terms of board/life total yet the Athreos's player keep asking me. got so paranoid I conceded in the end. It's like the Joker finally inject Batman with the joker venom... and became the batman who laughs....
I think it's a good general, but the pilot needsa great amount of tact, and smooth talking makes this general bearable. else it can turn into a pretty toxic general.
Elvish pioneer - a High Ceiling card, means that it's super good early games while meh in late games. Always create a godhand scenario with it in the starting hand.
Winter Orb - is the go to card for locking down the mana. Edric runs super cheap and efficient counters, even under the orb, the elves plus a land can effective neutralize a threat.
One with nature > Sword of Animist. merely because it cost too much for the effect... if the meta is slow, maybe .
Boduka gardener < Sakura tribe scout and Skyshroud ranger and exploration.. while this effect is good, the deck can function without them also. running the cheapest casting cost and 3 copies of such ability seems right.
most of the time cmdr dies to Collateral damage. To accomplish a position to bargain, there must be benefits for the table.. a fragile general with strong control = hard to achieve the gazing part
hi ISBPathfinder,
have you consider teysa orzhov scion? think she is good utility ,sac outlet and can convert the dead vampire tokens to spirit, your thoughts?
I have built my queen on leftover cards, as i need a noob friendly deck, doubt i would spend $ on cards that cost more than $10. I am sure they are are people who is interested in a more budget friendly listing of yours that work
yeah, Cephalid Constable is a High ceiling card. High ground - Card always perform High ceiling - Card performs differently at different situation. eg early turns
Venser is High ground where as Cephalid Constable is High ceiling.
I think if you include 8 -10 high ceiling cards that is before Marchesa, it's possible to draw one and make a strong board pressence.
There is a high chance you will cut Treasonous Ogre, because when you start to group yr cards by functionality, the odd ones usually gets cut.
There are 2 school of thought in this forum Solrune and Tev.
Solrune - clunk of 4 cc cards with toolbox aided by tutors and game ending spell
Tev - Lean creatures, trying to do 120 before dying.
Eg Treasonous Ogre fits nicely in Solrune listing where in Tev , it's a odd card that don't contribute to winning. As your listing is closer to Tev, you are probably looking out for 8 x punisher cards, 8 x high impact/ high ceiling cards.
The unfortunate thing is that Marchesa's reputation has always been a troublesome commander and people are bound to archenemy you, especially as we go more punisher. If only we have vigilance creatures, then we might not need that much lifegain.. I searched and found Angel's Trumpet.
I doubt it's good, but who knows... someone might find love for Angel's Trumpet ?
I am testing queen marchesa running your listing minus, those cards that are too costly or hard to find.
Can i ask you a few questions?
1. If you don't play burning wish, what do you replace it with?
2. many times where I have queen in play, i have alot of rattlesnake cards in hand which i don't need to cast...so what do you usually do, when your queen can hold the board?
3. What are the cards you think is the most crucial in your deck?

Captured by the Consulate is just a subtle card to create a little rift between them.
Sigarda's Aid and Captured by the Consulate are MVP
