Martyrdom from alliance, do you think it might worked?
Alot of times I cannot attack profitably , I wished for something like vigilance granting spells or some redirect effect.
I played 4 rounds of feather... Most games I started with 2 lands... and was struggling to get to 5 or 6 lands.. I don't own much of the expensive mana rocks... how did you guys cope?
i ran a budget bdm deck and my version do run more artifact hate, as my meta has alot of graveyard hate.
I don't run mystical tutor but i ran jarad's order and worldly tutor...jarad's order is faster because you can search a wonder and a thunderfoot baloth.
path of discovery - can be pretty explosive if u do it at the end of the last opponent.
i think u need to run shizo at least... for more trigger
Your feeling of quietus spike is similar to mine.too costly yet it's something unpleasant but yet not fast enough I played loxodon warhammer in my deck along with venser's journal. iF your meta is 75% competitive... u will need more lifegain.
hi rogerandover, i don know how to make a decklist in forum, so i PMed my listing to you. not sure it's a good listing, i am playing what i owned in paper, and sort of suited my style and metagame. Maybe you can proxy up and test and help me improve it
Version 1 :started out like OP's listing or jumbocommnder listing.... a friend said the deck feels like a swarm of mosquito.. not pain and not fast enough
version 2 : goes with a 18 counters... still not fast enough to race in the midgame, while being able to counter more, the mana always not fast enough
Version 3 : ditch some counters , cut those saboteur spell,left looter and saboteur creatures added 8 x fatties and mana rocks.... finally can race in the midgame
Don think my listings is good , but at least it can stand in my meta.
I have a friend that played Phenax, and his win rate in multiplayer is not bad.
Play fast defense - play something defender or fat early... If opponent see your */* fat down there, they are not going to attack you.
Big mill - the idea of trying to mill each opponent to library death is kinda of flawed, especially irritating if you have to remind everyone to mill to the next land... big milling reduced the irritating feeling, and coupled with reanimation = a steady supply of blockers.
Small amount of untapping - the blue wisp, the Thousand-Year Elixir helps to mill faster or grants psedo vigilance if you are attacking.

You can easily put freed from the real/ Pemmin's Aura on ley weaver and gained infinite mana. and use lore weaver to kill everyone with draw
I ran the mammoth umbra and *** effect to cripple creatures deck but it's getting harder to stick an enchantment on tiana recently
The last card that should be in all Zada deck is Mercadia downfall... for those sneaky win
The deck is relatively fast, but
1. golden guardian and azor's gateway are hard to flip
2. Not enough cards in hand
Are you still working with the deck or any updated version?
While the choice of kicker spells is different, as more people know your deck , you have to adapt more.
I usually have to do a big pump, then kick 2 spells in the single turn as my commander tends to die alot

These fatty at least would work well with the saboteur looters we have in our list
