I haven't had any success to brag on yet (same as everyone: 2-3s, 3-2s, and 4-1s in the comp leagues), but I like playing a 5c manabase and 4 Hollow Ones sideboard instead of anti-gravehate. Just awkwardly curve out games 2 and 3 or have the dredge combo-like option.

What does your sideboard look like?

People have mentioned article from a Takahashi multiple times now (Yuta?) regarding dredge. Where can I find these?

Seen it but the deck did not really have anything new or spicy going on.

No, but some things can be picked up by Dredge (along with Living End) making top 8:
1: Dredge making top 8 means the meta is in the right spot for the deck to be successful.
2: Sadly, that also means Dredge could be back on the radar, and people may start packing more graveyard hate in their sideboards again.

Good info for adjusting your sideboard

Burning Inquiry is not a good card. Its a very much a circle discussion on this guy. It always seems like cool tech, people try it, it blows out some games for them, they think its amazing, then slowly but surely cut all copies due to being insanely inconstant.

    Don't run it.

Can the same be said about Goblin Lore? I’ve seen a couple successful lists play two copies of Tormenting Voice, was curious if Lore could be better, or if it’s as bad as Inquiry.

LeDrazi, the humans matchup is largely determined by what our early dredges look like in G1. So long as we hit a conflagrate by turn 3 we will just plague wind them and kill them before they can rebuild. A darkblast in our opener is pretty much GG as well with mantis rider being the only card left to really pressure us.

Has anyone tried burning inquiry? I like the additional draw spell for a more explosive G1, but have no experience with it. I have an rptq this weekend and am strongly considering dredge as my choice for the event.

Edit: I also am unsure how I feel about 18 lands. I understand he added additional draw spells, but inquiry is a random discard. discarding our 2nd land drop means we would have to regular draw until we hit another land.

Personally I would not drop below 20 lands. I know that we mull great but I already go to 6 cards because of only having 1 land and no faithless lootings way too often. I don't want to hurt that anymore. I ordered a playset of inquiry yesterday and I am going to try them later this week. I am going to start with the playset just so I can draw it often but I couldn't imagine I would actually want more than 2.

Thanks and cheers to both of you. I’ll have to keep the RiP info tucked away as well. As for the Burning Inquiry, I’m going to try 2 myself, probably cutting my Haunted Dead and Ghost Quarter from my main deck to see how I feel playing under 20 lands. I’m playing a fetchless build myself so shouldn’t be too much of a stretch.

It is very notable to say that he did play humans 3 matches in a row and that is usually a good matchup for us. Another more standard list placed in the top 32 also.

Austinthelamp, you say Humans is a good matchup for us. I’ve only played the deck once, and both games he crushed me by turn 4. What is the sideboard plan against the deck? Just straight creature kills? It seemed I never had enough.

I am trying out maindeck Lightning Axe because of storm. You need to be able to interact with them

It’s not a bad idea. I’ve seen some decks that replace a Neonate or the 4th Loam for a copy. I replaced my Darkblast and a copy of Neonate for 2 main.

Interesting approach LeDrazi, never thought of including Angler. And what's nice is Golgari Thug can let you draw him if he gets milled. Recently, I had a horrible night for Dredge (0-3-1), lost to Fish, ETron and Abzan. The deck either fizzled to dredge anything relevant or failed to dredge a key 4 of card when I needed it to win.

I’ve seen a few lists here and there in Vintage and Legacy play it in the sideboard, figured it’d be somewhat decent in modern. It’s great at walling their TKS and Smashers as I’m beating them with flyers. And yes, Thug makes Angler even better.

So, do we have a good answear against Eldrazi Tron?

I have a heavy Etron meta at my store, and I’ve adjusted by putting two Gurmag Anglers in the sideboard. Since doing that I’ve felt the matchup is pretty great. I have a main board GQ, and I side in two Anglers and Lightning Axes.

Do you have a decklist? Curious about your sideboard. Congrats on the win!

I don't think that any BW cards have anywhere near the impact of Blood Moon in the Tron and Titanshift MUs and the latter one is pretty unwinnable even with a T3 Lili on the play, particularly now that they have access to Hour of Promise letting them do stuff with fewer resources.

I'm still not convinced Moon is worth warping my mana base though and don't have the guts to actually register a Redguy list for the PPTQ, hence audibling to this (heading off now, so hopefully a positive report coming up tonight :)):

I really like your list, and I'm going to try to run it for a Modern PPTQ this Saturday. Wanted to ask though, did you ever have issues with the Murderous Cut? I've been thinking about replacing it with a Thraben Inspector or a Gifted Ætherborn.

Hi all, been a lurker on this forum for awhile, and this is my first post. Been playing the deck for a couple weeks now at FNM after changing over from EldraziTron. I've had really good success with my build (3-1, 3-0-1, 4-0) against a wide range of decks. My lgs gets about 16/18 players a week, and everyone plays different decks ranging from GDS to ETron to Elves to Eggs, so I've been able to play the deck against competitive builds and more off the wall builds. Once I figure out how to post decks correctly, I'll share my list.

One question I did want to ask, more for the players that have matter reshaper in their decks, would a singleton or two Bitterblossoms be good in the deck? The deck has great disruption, but I sometimes feel like I'm lacking threats (either because I can't draw them, or they get picked off). Just wondered if anyone has tried this already with any success?
