I recently came back to playing from a long break. One of the last sets I had bought from was Mirrodin. I have a dumb question. I noticed that these cards were on the banned list for Modern format. Why?
So I have another question about an exert rule using Resolute Survivors. If I have say five other creatures with exert that I'm getting ready to attack with and exert and I also attack with and exert with the Resolute Survivors, does the Resolute Survivors do one damage for EACH creature exerted, or just one damage regardless of how many creatures are exerted? I hope this question was worded ok. Thanks
Thanks. I wasn't sure if the aura gave some sort of unofficial control or what. I originally thought it was the controller of the creature. Been playing casual for a long time. I'm new to tournament atmosphere so wanted to make absolute sure before I went and made a fool of my self.
On Compulsory Rest, where it says to sac and gain life, the way it's worded, I wonder if that is for the controller of the creature the aura is placed on or is that for the controller of the aura itself?
I'm working on a Red/White Aggro. I'm obviously using a lot of Exert. Since Always Watching is getting ready to rotate out, I decided to try and find ways around that issue. O.K. so I have a Glory-Bound Initiate and a Dauntless Aven on the table. I attack with both and Exert the Initiate. Since I have also attacked with the Aven, can I untap the Initiate per the Aven's ability or does that cancel the Initiate's attack? Thanks
Ok. I have a Combat Celebrant on the table. I do know that he can only be exerted once per turn due to mechanics involving multiple Celebrants out. But...He's on the battlefield and I bring out a Glorybringer and an Ahn-Crop Crasher, attack with all three, and exert all three. Celebrant does not untap. Do the Glorybringer and Crasher untap (I think they do but not sure)? And, if so, can I exert Glorybringer and Crasher a second time in the second combat phase? Thanks.
I have mentioned before that I am fairly new coming back in to magic for some maybe 10 years. I'm trying to get a handle on a lot of the concepts introduced within that time. I am slowly learning a bunch about those pesky planeswalkers but still have questions. This is about the quantitiy mostyly.
Ok so I am using Nissa.
1. If I have say 4 Nissa, Vital Force in my deck. Can I have more than one of them on battlefield at the same time?
2. Let's say I have Nissa, Vital Force and Nissa, Steward of Elements in this deck. Can I have one Vital Force AND Steward of Elements
out at the same time?
3. And finally... if I have Chandra, Torch of Defiance or Jace, Unraveler of Secrets in the deck, can I have all of them out at the same time (not that I
would be the victim of such probability)?
