Just curious as to when a Young Pyromancer trigger is considered "missed". My understandingof triggers is that as long as you don't change phases or move the game along in a relevant way, the trigger is assumed and you can still acknowledge it. Suppose you cast any spell with a pyromancer in play, your opponent responds, then you acknowledge the trigger, is it considered missed? What are your experiences with acknowledging the trigger not at the exact moment you cast the spell?

Hey everyone! I'm very new to the deck and I was just curious if anyone has a recent sideboard guide. I don't have an issue with what to bring in, but I tend to have a hard time deciding what to take out.

My oppinion might not be popular, but when I played the deck the most important cards has been:

    - Opt and one mana cyclers (as they trigger the Miracles on your opponents turn).
    - Telling Time (much better setup for Miracles as Serum Visions - I hate to draw before scrying and that I can't Miracle the cards I drew. Also nice to get rid of some Jace Brainstorms on top).
    - Jace (for obvious reasons to put Miracles back on top, which were stranded in your hand - the Wincon hasn't come up that often for me, but it is a nice bonus for sure).
    - Entreat (is overperforming for me every time: need blockers? Here are two 4/4 Flyers. Need a Wincon? What about 4-5 Angels to close out the game in one hit? Especially if you can instant speed this, it is really, really powerful and I am up to 3-4 copies if I do play Miracles and I would not go below 2 copies anymore).

This sounds like the type of build I would like to try. Do you have a decklist you care to share?

Doubtful. There's a plethora of big dumb beaters at 6+ mana already available. The only 6 CMC cards that get run are Inferno Titan and Big Chandra. Both of them don't just put on a fast clock, they also sweep away our opponents creatures to give us a good board state.

There are a lot of bombs in the 6cmc range, but hexproof and can't be countered are 2 abilities most don't have. At the end of the day it comes down to personal preference and your meta, but I would say this card is more than worthy of being tested.

I cut the Mind Stones, which may be a mistake, but I never found myself missing them in my matches. I'm sure that the few side events I played aren't enough to conclusively tell me whether they can be cut or not, but the deck seemed to still fire on all cylinders without them. I'm curious to hear from other people who've tested without the Stones and whether it worked out for them or not.

I've only been playing the deck for a couple weeks, but I haven't been playing with Mind Stone in my list. I was planning to initially but when I first put the deck together my Mind Stone's were still in the mail so I just played without them. I've only played in 2 local tournaments at my LGS, so I know it's not a very big sample size to go on, but I have yet to have any games where I wish I had one. I've done fairly well with the deck so far, going 3-1 and 4-0 in the 2 tournaments I've played so I'm just going to continue without them until I find a time where I want them.

Have you guys faced Blood Moon? You'll miss it the first time you're in a situation where you have only red mana. Without 2 Mind Stones, you only have 6 cards to get colorless - two Wastes, and 4 Expedition Map to tutor for a Waste. If you guys really don't want to play Mind Stone, maybe consider going up to 4 Wastes.

I haven't had to play against Blood Moon yet. I also haven't had to deal with any Spreading Seas or Sea's Claim either. I suppose I'm sort of lucky since practically no one in my local meta plays Blood Moon, Merfolk, or anything else which would really punish me for not having Mind Stone. I'm not opposed to playing them, its just that since I can get away with using them as flex spots I will until it is no longer beneficial.
