Quote from Tiro of Meletis »I would have preferred Esper Wizards because Jeleva and Nekusar are already a thing. White Wizards with tax or restrict effects would be cooler, like Magus of the Moat or whatever. Also I just love Esper. But hey, I'm sure the deck will lean heavy to Blue which I have no complaints about
I'm guessing the Wizard deck will have an instant and sorcery spell theme to it which works better in (the three colors with the lowest % of creatures). From my own custom designs that played with a fraction I found it can be interesting to play spell forced like deck that added in the extra control, kill spells and graveyard recursion that can give. A spell focused deck also would be a flavorful deck for wizards.

Daretti was no joke, and still isn't in some ways.
Also while I'm an artifact nut, I'd like something that gives enchantments some love for a change, and isn't weaksauce like Daxos the Returned.

Speaking of multicolored, there's a surprising lack of multicolored card examples in this thread.
I guess his aim was to make the Bant mechanic truer to how Sigils work, but Exalted is a decent mechanic, and people would expect it to return. The perspective on Grixis being odd in terms of mechanical synergy is valid IMO.

This right here. We don't know what plane the next non-Core Standard set will be on. While it's likely that it won't be Dominaria, it's too soon to get upset about Dominaria being only one set.

I do like the mechanics though, especially Utilize and Award. Also, considering they developed independently of each other for a long time, the shards maintaining their mechanical and flavourful identities almost like nations wouldn't be a stretch.

I'm generally not a fan of being on the same plane too long, but I wouldn't mind Dominaria getting a second set.

You typically don't judge a planeswalker card by its ultimate unless it's an ultimate you can reach quickly like Nahiri, the Harbinger or Nissa, Vital Force.
Teferi's first two abilities can be useful in a control deck, which is probably where he'd be slotted into anyway.

I'm getting the impression that Vehicles will be used very sparingly compared to Equipment, which I don't have an issue with.
I think his point is that it's not fair to just dismiss cards when they're first spoiled, as there might be very different results when they're out in the wild.

I'm curious. What do you want? Every card (or 90% of the cards, to use the overused percentage) in the set to be Modern-playable?
I haven't read many of your posts, but the ones I have do not give me the impression of someone who wants to like a set, much less love it.

It's a good thing Omniscience isn't historic.
