That’s unfortunate, I did read the previous pages but I have trouble turning the information there into success for me using this deck.

I’ll try to see if the UW Control deck has more information about navigating the control part of this deck.

Finally bought in the deck, I now happen to have everything needed for BloodyRabbit, DarkestBeforeDawn and Gottlieb’s version (http://www.starcitygames.com/articles/37862_Living-End-Is-Back-From-The-Dead.html)

I’ve been testing all 3 versions against the other modern decks I have: Mono-G Tron, Mono-W Eldrazi and Taxes and Amulet Titan ... and I don’t know what to think, they can all have strong games, but I find it difficult to enact the control backup plan correctly.

Either I have too many removal/counters and not enough of a proactive plan or I can’t oppose the other plan easily enough, especially once it’s on the board.

It’s very likely I don’t play the deck correctly, anyone have advice or thoughts on this dilemma I have?

P.S. I also want to second that Unmoored Ego is a very powerful card in some matchups, makes me wonder if Lost Legacy, Ego and Discard could be a valid modern strategy ...

To clarify, I believe he means you can't exile your own Bridge. To quote the card:

When Cast Out enters the battlefield, exile target nonland permanent an opponent controls until Cast Out leaves the battlefield.

FWIW I once played Scepter of Dominance as "secret tech" to tap large creatures (possibly for Gideon Jura), problematic artifacts for Nahiri and lands For Ajani.

Damping Matrix only stops activated abilities. That means abilities of the form "cost: ability". For the same reason, Stony Silence doesn't do anything against triggered abilities (you can identify those when the ability uses the words "when"/"whenever"/"at the") or static abilities (you can identify those with the words "enters the battlefield with" or "enters the battlefield as", for example). Therefore you can keep Chalice alongside Stony Silence against Merfolk. With that said, from my limited experience, 1x Boil is indeed nice as it gives an out against UX control decks, depending on your meta, as it can force a counterspell at EoT and let you make a strong play on your turn.

You have to keep in mind that a sideboard is not just about "hating out" the other deck, it's about giving you an option to draw the very best card against a deck. Which means sometimes having even 1 copy of a card in the sideboard and no tutor can still be valid.

Edit: Realized I didn't answer you question. No it does not affect the lords. But it does affect Cursecatcher as well as Aether Vial.

Disclaimer, I have not been playing the deck for long and I have not played against devoted druid deck.

This idea came to mind seeing the CFB list:

Damping Matrix is a bit slow but hinders:

Devoted Druid since it is not a mana ability
Viscera Seer
Duskwatch Recruiter
Scavenging Ooze
Spike Feeder
Walking Ballista

The biggest problem being that it doesn't seem that useful outside of this/similar matchups :/
