The Mirari was just one of many observation spheres that Karn sent out. Mirari was unique in the fact that it was errored and leaked Karn's power. When recreated, Karn fixed this issue. Now it is just a lens Karn can see through.
Demons tend to be male like in magic, ehile angels tend to be more female like. But they thake the form that those they are devouted to them see them as.
Akroma was a flying brick as a card, yet in the novels she probably only had flying, vigilance and protection from black instants and sorceries.
The skyship weatherlight itself was the best flying brick (ironically) constantly adapting to newly discovered legacy pieces like the Skyshaper and Bones of Ramos.
I'd like to think that they'd be single colored, but their Theros disciples care about other mana. Perhaps they are one color but care about devotion to another color?
With the exception of Sarkhan vol and Ajani, they tend to rotate walkers every other block.
I personally dislike Jace. It didn't start that way though. Agents of Artifice is one of the best magic novels. However he has received no character development since then. He has become an emotionless face, and while logical for a blue character, it makes him cold, distant, and unrelatable.
And the other main cast of walkers are similar. Liliana is probably the exception. But for instance, Garruk needs to do something. We get it, you're a hunter. There is only so much you can do with that. Green embodies other traits as well. A walker that seeks to overthrow civilization, a plant based walker, a walker that seeks to be the pinnacle of evolution, a walker that uses the terrain itself to fight, etc.
The classic five are quickly wearing out in my opinion. Ajani has probably received the best development from enraged to calm unitity mage and liliana has room to grow as the veil consumes her. Chandra refuses to change, jace ignores any change, and garruk has room as the curse worsens, but wotc is ignoring the curse. (They should have had avacyn remove some of the effects but not all of them permanently).
Tamiyo is a better face for blue imo. Green needs a new walker, red needs a new walker or a good chandra, white should be gideon, black could be new or sorin.
I'm fine with ruination (just because you can run all duals doesn't always mean you should.) and armaggeddon. Land destruction is fair imo, with two exceptions: an early quicksilver fountain, or desolation angel after a board clear. I simply hate desolation angel.
But yeah, land destruction works. People also forget tunnel ignus is a thing.
Divinity of pride. I follow the logic that multiples are good. Just because dreadbore is better then terminate doesn't mean you cut terminate, you run both.
It's an uncounterable instant that can get rid of a fair number of things that are potentially dangerous. Some planeswalkers. Dangerous enchantments like Luminarch's Ascension. A range of dangerous artifacts, like Strionic Resonator, Torpor Orb or A Sword of X and Y. A variety of utility creatures. Sure, it won't stop the Craterhoof Behemoth or the Omniscience your opponent just cast, but games often hinge on smaller things that can be dangerous in their own way.
It isn't the ultimate removal spell, but it's awful good.
Agreed. It doesn't answer "threats" but it answers the cards that get those threats into play. I'd run it slightly under Terminate, depending on how counter happy your playgroup is.

Also, seems decent with Stonybrook Schoolmaster

balancing act?
Balance would cause more issues then it would solve.
