Hi, guys. Recently i have returned in modern mostly because i want to take part in few next PPTQs. I have chosen Grixis DS as my lovely deck to play, and i have some questions about sideboard.

    1) Is Kira so great right now? I have seen her in almost every DS deck.

    2) What do you think about Bitterblossom singleton against Control heavy decks. It seems that modern Blue control decks rose from the grave, and you should be prepared to fight with them. Currently i am using that package of additional threats to beat control decks: Liliana, The Last Hope and two Young Pyro. But i think that Blossom can be really annoying for blue decks (and actually not only for control decks, but also for midrange decks).

Endrazi Tron in my opinion is the hardest matchup for us. But it is still pretty winnable even they have a full package of hate like chalice and relics. In game one your only answer to their artifacts is Beast Within and you also can try to slow down Tron by destroying mana base with Fulminators but in my expirience it only works then Tron kept bad (yolo?) hand and draw bad. Usually they will be able to stabilize after Fulminators because 2 ways for ramping their creatures - Urza Lands and Eldrazi Temple. Your plan for game one - be faster. If Tron drew hate dont worry you can draw Beast Within too. But yeah - to have a good respons to hate is a hard task. Anyway in game 2 you absolutly need to be prepared against worst scenario like relic and chalice turn 1 for example. But it is not even close to lose because you have now a bunch of artifact hate and Tron have to keep free mana for Relic every turn slowing its game plan and give your some time.

Some thoughts from my experience after a lot of games against Eldrazi Tron: 1) To not lose a creature card on graveyard play fetchland turn 1. You will exile land then Relic will tap. 2) The prior target of your artifact hate creatures/instanst is Relic of Progenitus. They can not play another chalice on 0 and chalice just lays on the field and actually do nothing (waiting untill its be destroyd =) )but Relic's tap every turn can make your graveyard very poor. 3) Be very careful with Simian Spirit Guide and use it very wisely. This card allows your to cascade for the win in alert situations (like in respons to relic/chalice or Thought-Not).

Hi guys. After the death of our local paper modern in official MTG store in my town, i have decided to buy Living End deck in MTGO to play and practice every day. After a ton of friendly, competitive or other games i have found something. I talking about Fulminator Mage and speed of the deck. So, I am playing without Fulminators but with more creatures to cycling and 4 copies of monkey and i am completly sure that my winrate is now higher then i was with Fulminators. I dont feel frustration even against different Tron decks, now i am just faster and the Speed is my true friend. I relly like my paper Fulminators for its utility and price =) but i think that without Mages my Living End is better. Sad but true.

What do you think about Choke in sideboard against Blue controls (also good against Storm, Grixis DS)? There are a lot of control players in our local store and i am searching for tools to make games against control better. Has someone tried Choke (instead if red Trap maybe)?

Hey guys! What do you think about including Ingot Chewer after game 1 against DS and their Nihil Spellbombs? I found this as a very weird situation because DS can hate your graveyard just by tapping Spellbomb, and where "Relic players" have to leave one mana every turn for sacrifice, DS can play faster and exile your win-condition zone quucker. That is why i do not side up any Chewer against DS. But maybe i am wrong. I need your help.

It seems that Chris has decided to be prepared for DS, Dredge and possibly Storm matchs with four copies of Faerie Macabe in the main deck. And I think that his thoughts made sense since he reached the final stage and also beat Ross Meriam's Dredge in semifanals (that fact made twitch chat very and very suprised but i am pretty sure Faeries did their job well in those games). Well, without 4 copies of Fulminator mage and only 1 beast within it is super hard to win agains decks like tron especially with relic and chalice opening on turn 1. In our local meta when i am playing agains Eldrazi tron i am always expecting the worst scenario like chalice or relic in play very early, but fulminators help me a lot to slow tron player and give me some time to find beast within. Lets be honest Chris won quaterfinal match against tron cos he was very lucky despite of relic and chalice on turn 1, but Todd Stevens didnt give him a chance. Anyway i really happy to see living end in top 8 and pretty sure that the deck will become more and more popular in the future.

Hey, guys. I really need your advise. Recetly i changed kari-zev expertise with 4th demonic dread and i felt that it was a right move. But suddenly our meta has bacome full of remands and now my living ends are usually in my hand and i can not play it (suspend is pretty slow and crazy). So, what do you think about having in main deck 8 cascade spells as well as 1 copy of expertise (for example, instead of 1 beast within)?

Hi guys. I am a really big fan of zombies and graveyard decks. Also it is unbeliviable cool when your creatures are literally immortal and returning again and again onto the battlefield. I have played Standart Rakdos Zombies for a while before Standart became boring for me. I decided to switch into the Modern, because it has a huge amount of different decks, playstyles and choices. After playing Valakut a bit and some others Decks i am now in situation when i have to decide which deck i will play in the future (i will have some important tournaments soon). I really want to invest my money and time into Dredge but i have a one real worry - i think (if i am inccorrect pls let me know) that Dredge deck (your main strategy) very depends on your opponent's graveyard hate. Well Relic, rest in peace and etc ruin Dredge mechainc completely. So my questions are very simple. Is it worthy to make Dredge deck right now? How can we answer on graveyard hate? How can Dredge play around it and win the post sideboatd games?
P.S. Sorry for my English, gyus. It is not my native language.
