these are the cards i received from tappwater and they are great. i have already added a few to my edh decks and one that will lead a new deck. thank you very much, they are greatly appreciated.
thank you very much for the wonderful alters. i have already put some in my edh decks. i am always amazed to see the creativity people have when doing their cards. that is one of the most exciting things. thank you again bobthefunny and grant1.
Imagine Christine as an elite quarterback that kept getting hit because her team couldn't pay for an effective offensive line so she moved to another team.
did she move by her own decision or was she traded? was her contract up and she was a restricted free agent or an unrestricted free agent? were any compensatory draft picks given up to acquire her? did she take a pay cut to play for a better team or did she sign with a non-playoff contending team for a larger guaranteed contract? while im sure she would like to play for a winning team, if history has taught us anything i have a feeling she would simply go after the money.
MtG, both the fanbase and WotC, doesn't (economically) appreciate their content creators enough. Defunding people like Jeremy and creating a safety net for victims of harassment and other negative behaviors is just the very tip of the iceberg of what needs to be done for us to have a healthy and productive community.
who decides what harassment and other negative behaviors is? if you felt you were harassed how would you make a claim and for what amount would you be entitled?
, try not to write it off as just the rantings of someone on the far left.
probably should have left that part out. you will have a non zero sum of people see that comment and already form an opinion based on your suggested political stance. if you truly want an honest and mutual understanding starting from a neutral base is the best method i.e. no mention of political leanings. that is unless you really just want to get pats on the back from the people who already agree with you and reaffirm your beliefs.
out of curiosity, if this guy has been such a problem for such a long time why has it just being reported. while i admit i am not in the loop with mtg on youtube or podcasts (or even in america) i would have thought something would have shown up here like this thread did. is the outrage now only because his comments were towards a person a lot of people liked? and if the comments were made 6 months ago why did the outcry just happen? why werent people angry 6 months ago when it happened?
Oh my god. People brought up other topics because they are related to harassment in MTG. Sprankle brought it up because he was calling her a sl*t.
did he ever call her a **** or are you just using your own word? i ask because if he never used the word **** you would be effectively slandering him. furthermore someone who isnt fully caught up on what is going on can see your post, assume that it is the truth, and tell others that jeremy called her a **** which wouldnt be true.
A single pebble is different from an avalanche made up of pebbles.
what does that mean?
A person who is 6/10 isn't in regards to their attractiveness, it's in regards to their value or their input into a discussion. Essentially when a person is called a 6/10, it means they can be ignored or it's a person of slight intelligence. Basically it's an attack on a persons own intelligence. Regardless of it's usage, it's very derogatory as it puts down the person and, probably, flags a person for other members to ignore and skip over.
Strangely, a person who is an 8/10 is related to their attractiveness. It is someone who is hot enough to slip into bed with but not hot enough to be sexiest person of whatever. It too is derogatory but in a different context. It is the equivalent of a cat call or wolf whistle.
is that real or just your opinion because it has no logic. a 6 is relates to intelligence but 8 relates to appearance? what is 7?
please forgive me as i dont live in america so im not fully caught up with what goes on there and what is acceptable or not. in america saying someones attractiveness is a 6 out of 10 is considered harassment?
the biggest drawback of playing commander on mtgo is the lack of social interaction. talking to your friends while waiting for your turn is one of the best aspects of commander and while there is an in game chat box, it is rarely used. another downside is sizing on your monitor. in a four player game the board becomes crowded fast which can become confusing or lead to game play mistakes. it never becomes unplayable as you can hover your mouse over cards to get information, but its just not as easy as in real life.
deck building is fairly simple as is acquiring cards. purchase the tickets, go to a reputable bot, get the cards you want, and the deck fills in itself. a ticket is essentially 1 dollar and card cost will be based off of that. another feature with the bots is they will save any remaining ticket value that becomes credit for future use with the bot. it is really simple and the larger bots are well stocked. prices for cards can be absurdly small as well with many cards costing less than a nickel. i have built a couple decks for less than three dollars. obviously you will have cards that carry a higher cost, but in relation to paper magic the cost is usually quite less. another way to defray cost is that there are a few free bots that allow you to take a certain amount of cards for free. these usually arent the best cards, but free is free.
it can be tricky getting in a "good" game considering the many different decks and players out there, but you can always buddy up with players you meet who share a similar game style as you. i log in at weird hours (due to living in Japan) and i usually dont have to wait to long for a 4 player game to start and can usually hop right in to a 1 v 1. im sure you would find players on at any time of the day or night.
I would have just taken the Vraska. I try to avoid drafting value over a better deck but sometimes you just gotta take that expensive card.
agreed. the only question to make it debatable would be how many packs you can win. if 1st place was anything less than 5 packs you take the card. more than 5 packs you have to question how good your deck will be and what your chances are to win 1st place. even still by taking her she would have paid for your draft. this isnt the pro tour so sometimes the right call is taking $. besides, you still would of had 13 more chances to draft a 4 drop for your deck.
for the op, a lot of the popular mtg online shops like star city games offer their own versions of deck builder kits. they usually have multiple options as well depending on the amount of cards you want. if you are just playing for fun this could be a good way to get a good variety of cards to start building with.
edit- resized the images and it works now

even more so if it were a male cosplayer that he called 6 out of 10.
that wouldnt be a bad idea, but they keep forgetting to mention the product.

so does that mean it really was always about the money?
to see which side of the fence you are on and punish you if you are not on the mods side.
