I know- infinite Mindslavers...so what...that's the purpose of this exercise, isn't it? Might actually give Tezzeret/ Time Vault competition in type 1.
Because:
a) Its the ad for the 6 original moxen- the middle one is mox diamond
b) Mox Crystal was a promo fake card for 5Color that mimicked the original moxen as such:

Thank you Wotc, as a casual player (and collector) this makes me super happy. Thank you for putting these Planeswalkers in a product that I can pay RETAIL for. I'll buy this at the big box stores if game shops jack up the price.
Good luck paying retail for this for the first few months its released...you'll probably be paying at least 30 for it.:-/
Remember when WoTC changed the magicthegathering.com homepage face? Don't you think that, once they made it harder to find daily content, that they'd at least update the site they replaced their most recognized web presence with? There's NOTHING on their 'set us up the bomb' (you know, because of the fuse when the page is loading) about the plane of Zendikar...sheesh...:-/
A box online costs $85, with free shipping or shipping up to $5. 36 packs = $2.36 per pack, or $2.50 with some shipping.
MSRP on Revised was 2.45/pack. Isn't it painful to think that that's a 'good' price nowadays?
Yeah- I know- inflation/cost of paper/WoTC needs to make money...but still...its painful to the wallet for everyone that plays no matter how you sugarcoat it.
Minimum packs to open to get a full playset in 2004: 440. Minimum packs to open to get a full playset in 2010: 272. Packs to open to get an "expected value" of 4 of any given rare in 2004: 440. Packs to open to get an "expected value" of 4 of any given rare, including mythic, in 2010: 480.
40% decrease for the minimum case and 10% increase for the "expected value" case is killing you? You're paying $4 for packs? What is wrong with you? I pay $2.50 for packs, and I open primarily to draft with my friends.
It's never been a good idea to crack packs if all you want is a single specific card.
I'm not, but the majority of people will pay that much- $4 is the going retail price. Even nice stores charge 10 for a draft- 3.33/pack
I did my first Magic tourney yesterday. I've been playing Magic with friends on and off for the last four years (they mainly play YuGiOh). So I have a solid understanding for the game.
I ran what I though was a solid nally deck, personal opinion aside.
It was 5 Round Swiss top 8 movie on, with about 50 people playing.
I want 1-2, so I left knowing that I wouldn't make the top 8, and even if I did, winner take all.
So why don't I wanna play MTG anymore? o.o
First game was against Jund, seemed solid, I won with luck (Naya Charm for the tapping win. xD)
I got on a solid high, I loved it. I won. I actually won a game.....that wasn't against my YuGiOh friends.
Second game.....Ow.......
It was some crazy lifelink deathtouch crazy destruction of ultimate power thing.....Baneslayer Angel's and exalted everywhere. I lost. Quite quickly.
I have no problem with this whatsoever...that's fine. I lost.... It's the sentence my opponent said after the match. (Something along the lines, anyway.)
"It's ok, you're deck seemed rather in expensive, you can make a good solid magic deck for around, like, 300 dollars, mine is only around 250"
I lost the first game because they started blaring UFC on the TV and I couldn't focus. lol.
But my point is.....do I really have to spend 300 dollars to make a competitive deck for Magic? Because the 12 or so people around completely agreed with that statement.
I wouldn't have a problem paying 300, actually, if it wasn't for the fact that Standard with knock my deck out eventually....so that's 300 dollars..... gone....in a sense.
I've looked for Extended or Legacy forever....found in my area. Nothing. :/
So my main points are:
That's a lot of money for something that I eventually won't be able to use.
Why is standard the main played style to begin with?
And Is the 300 dollar deck statement a valid one?
Because if so, I might just go back to YuGiOh (and I really, really, don't want to.)
$300? Why that's just a playset of Jace the Mindsculptors!! You'll need to spend a little more than that!
WoTC wants to rule the card game world and places its burden on the players/ collectors. What used to be an attainable goal (playset of each card for a reasonable investment) has become an exercise in futility.
The collectors of this game are dead- WoTC killed us.
Good luck opening your lottery packs gentlemen, I hope the $4 you pay for that 50 cent rare while you were chasing that $70 mythic was worth it.
Eh...my luck I'd get a squire. Based on the Priceless Treasures Zendikar promotion, I opened 12 boxes of product, 2 pre-releases and several packs from winning said pre-releases and received zilch in the 'get lucky' department.
I can see these things MSRP'ing for 9.99 and selling on the secondary market for 25.00.
It got previewed at PAX East, I am pretty sure they just wanted it to look exciteing, though it is possible that it will be this sets oversized promo card.
Thank you for your acknowledgement. I collect oversize cards and was wondering if it was official or just a mock-up. Apparently, the thread author posted the pic and bolted.

We don't need this thread derailing into yet ANOTHER mythic discussion. Spam Infraction.
Look at ROE's mythics- you're not paranoid. Like Kurt Cobain from Nirvana said:
"Just because you're paranoid, don't mean they're not after you."
I hope I get banned for my signature.
Throughout history, the martyrs cried, AVENGE ME!!!
The checks' in the mail....
I won't *** in your mouth...
