Think lngrr's wooing of grape is a bit off. No waiting to see what grape showed up to *this* game, just overarching trend data basically. Which is a perfectly good way to woo IF you wait and see a bit but thats not the case here.
This cuts to the heart of it. If I didn't know he wasn't my buddy I'd say it looked like a safe way to reach out to a buddy for some early theater.

I mean RVS is like someone said a way to engage the thread and make connections, I question your roleplay thing though. Makes no sense that you read a person better when they arent fully playing the game to their fullest capabilities.
Oh right, also Shinichi's entrance is pretty. Like it felt to me like Cantrip was making an off the cuff joke and Shinichi was like "I feel like you thought a lot about that reply" like it was super cereal or something.

RVS is one of the most important parts of the game, though, because it's where wolves are trying to enter the thread, blend in, and distance from their partners the most. Why do you ignore it?
I am not denying the power and potential of RVS I am merely saying that I for the most part don't participate in RVS and block the jokes out most of the time.

Oh my gosh. I know I haven't really been "away" or anything, but after a few (very fast) games elsewhere, this thread really warms my heart. My people!
That said...I'm going to go ahead and tinfoil conspiracy state that something feels weird about Tom and Shadow's interactions so far. Which is weird because I like their posts individually; they're funny and solidly toned, and feel "right", but it also feels a little bit like they're tryharding, maybe forcing interactions? Don't know. Need more, I guess.

Didn't forget, but you at least had to work for some of yours. Tom just sorta sat around in the thread until they dropped in his lap.

I can concur because the extent of my work was using my ability on Tom before being the first death.
Anyway hopping over to Lng's question I think it's a few things. One I used to play a different style. I was more humble and flexible. Second I had a great scum game and a couple decent ones and it changed my reputation. Third my recent games just frankly haven't been good. In one I was actively being provocative once I knew I had a town check from KJ but in general I just have been wrong on a ton and it's easy to equate repeated wrongness from a somewhat respected player with scumminess. Like townies can and will be wrong but if prime Iso was wrong multiple times in a row it was a red flag. I don't have that sort of reputation but on a tiny level I'm generally not seen as an idiot despite a now substantial streak of wrongness.

YOu put quite a bit of thought into that response i feel.
I recently compiled my mafia stats, and I've played a few games over on 451, which is a fairly different mafia experience, and it's caused me to be rather introspective.
Silver, I sorta feel like your "hmmm" is similar to "interesting", which is sometimes what scum say when they don't know what to say. Would you say you're the type of scum to say "interesting" when you're not sure what to say?
Mafia 451 is quite a fun place to play at, i can see why you feel the way you do though.
The more you play with me the more you will realize I had the norms and standards of mafia, I could careless how others actually feel about them as well. When I play mafia I play it the way i enjoy it the most.
I very strongly feel like shin would try harder if he wasn't scum. I think his team let him down and he just... doesn't care.
