Emrakul was planned to invade Innistrad since the first Innistrad block ended. It was a draft they had for the return even before BtZo rt he gatewatch to play on theme since Lovecraft was a gothic horror writer before he shifted it into comic horror. Hence why Bloodborne also mixed the too.
And that was also a mistake because cosmic horror and serialized storytelling don't mix as evidenced by how much of a joke Galactus is nowadays.
If your Cthulhu can't win because you have to keeep squeezing each cent off that IP, then it's not scary, cool, or truly Lovecraftian.

A cephalid invasion, War of the Worlds style, would've been much more fitting. And they could've kept the mind control, creepy cult and mutants because cephalids are powerful psionics with high magitech.

Manslaughter and murder are not the same. Sorin made many mistakes. Nahiri purposedly and directly caused the extinction of two hosts of angels, got the entire population of Hanweir turned into a monster blob, genocided the Markov clan and generally got innocent people killed. And she has no plan to stop, after leaving Innistrad to die she went looking for Ugin to continue destroying planets with her hysterics.

It's ok liking Nahiri as a villain, it's not the same to claim she wasn't wrong, evil or way past any relatable measure of retaliation.

Yeah the destruction of Zendikar is Ugin, Sorin, Nahiri, Bolas, Chandra, Jace, Sarkhan, Nissa and Ob's fault.
The destruction of Innistrad was all Nahiri's.

And Nahiri was given the chance to fight for Zendikar when Thalia destroyed the Hellvault. But she chose not to, she chose to hurt Sorin instead.

Sorin is an anti-hero and an ********. But Nahiri is a villain.

FFS. Did we really have to bring them to Ravnica just to start all the 'he said, she said' stuff again? It was bad enough having to deal with this crap last time around.
I really hate seeing Sorin - that cool as ice, 6000 year old, long-term thinking planeswalker - being reduced to a bickery schoolground kid. Frown

I largely agree, but rather am tired of Nahiri. I love Sorin and his story and want to see more of him being a stoic badass and am upset when Nahiri (who I think is in the wrong) shows up and ruins stuff.
Agreed, she was 100% better when she didn't have any personality at all and was just "The Lithomancer".

Wow, didn't even give Sorin a new spell and keep playing it like she wasn't a genocidal maniac all along.

unless of course, someone prefers a particular pronoun and doesn't find it degrading at all. In which case it's on you to respect them enough to use it.

that's the bottom line. It doesn't do anyone any harm to be polite and respect people enough to do this.

its not just being polite, its downright you are forced by law to do it, and NOT doing it, is not just being unpolite, its downright a crime, which means people are forced to do it, and punished if they dont.

    Its a reversal of respect.
Its not a show of respect and its not earned at all.
Its a respect you force upon, which is just like the old age of kings where you chop the heads off people that dont bow before the king.

    GOOD...... GRIEF......
People have to earn their pronouns now?!?!

if someone tells you their preferred name? you use their preferred name
if someone tells you their preferred pronoun? you use their preferred pronoun

    effortless. positive. polite. respectful.

You really gonna rant at someone about 'being forced' and kings chopping people's heads off if someone gives you a preferred pronoun and you refuse to use it? do you realise how utterly ridiculous that would make you look?
While I agree that respect is respect, I also agree with the feeling behind his argument because we've already seen a lot of abuse of this "preferred pronouns" thing and for every Gamestop freakout where the employers realize their staff were being abused, there's a lot of people getting fired for misusing personal information that was undisclosed until it could be used against them.

There's also the fact that, like in everything LGBT, there's subsections and subgroups, including people who suffer gender dysphoria and genuinelly feel that the acceptance of a non-binary prevents them from ever truly transitioning because it's a constant reminder they had to transition, although they just want to be a HE/SHE.

The smallest minority is the individual, and while our intentions may be good, we really shouldn't be promoting such large scale societal changes as modifying language itself, and specially not with the intent of patting ourselves on the back and virtue signaling about how woke we are for it. We already have an individualized label, it's our names. If someone wants special designations they should be allowed to pursue them in their social circles, but not institutionalize their use and specially not punish their misuse or disuse.

What I'm saying is I don't expect this $250 box to have a $50 chase rare unless they absolutelly ruin the format. So I really hope it is at least filled with $4 cards to promote people buying and cracking as much as possible to help card circulation.

the only places boxes will be close to 250 is at lgs
So absolutelly every market except the USA because Wal Mart and Target don't sell Magic in most of the world and paying shipping plus import taxes beats the money you would've saved on Amazon.

    6) Davriel Cane will work together with "Wanderer" (whoever it is). Also expect the alliance between Karn, Ob Nixilis and Dack Fayden. And more weird alliances.

wtf? How do this make sense?

Some kind of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" scenario.
After recently regaining his spark I doubt Ob would like Bolas to strip it out of him and Dack is kind of a wildcard... He might be wanting to acquire some artifacts made by Karn or... Steal Karn himself? XD

Still, doesn't Ob Nixilis have a huge hate-boner against the Gatewatch? I find it weird that he would do anything that even remotely aligns with their goals.
He beat them up hummiliatingly for fun and then left them for dead when Chandra showed up to tip the scale. If MtG writing was consistent this would be the perfect set up for a " But for Me, It Was Tuesday" moment.

We can only hope, but still, value usually comes from being proven. Outside of things like Planeswalkers and lands that seem to have a set minimum stores are willing to presale for, a lot of powerful but unproven cards enter the market at a relatively low price.

What I'm saying is I don't expect this $250 box to have a $50 chase rare unless they absolutelly ruin the format. So I really hope it is at least filled with $4 cards to promote people buying and cracking as much as possible to help card circulation.

These are the only cards that can be reprinted in MH1 and are currently more expensive than Marsh Flats: Mana Crypt, Force of Will, Mana Drain, Expropriate, Vampiric Tutor, Oubliette, Scroll Rack, Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, Teferi's Protection, Food Chain, Cabal Coffers and Wasteland.

The ones that can be reprinted (Expropriate, Oubliette) are only expensive because of scarcity, the rest are on the brink or way too good for Modern, some are too good for Legacy. So all the set's EV will have to fall either on expensive Un/Commons and $10-20 rares, or the new cards.

He was upset that Liliana left the beast rotting from within body and soul instead of just killing it. And yes he's stupid, he's a traumatized child raised by baloths who distrusts civilization and society so much he resents language itself. He was pretty well written in the webcomics, you just don't like or understand his character.

lol the reddit mainsub mods are deleting any post that mentions support for Garruk. WotC's reasons for him to not be around may be completely innocuous but the losers that manage that circus are going full secret police about it anyway.

Yeah the stained glass is clearly just a trace and filter over the real art.
