A friend of mine convinced me to go to a pptq with him on Saturday. I don't currently have a modern deck so he's letting me use his U Tron deck. I've never piloted this deck before but I have played against and know the jist of what I'm trying to do. Any tips for piloting the deck or letting me know the good/bad matchups would be greatly appreciated
I like the idea of both Grand Abolisher and Stonecloaker. I've been playing a phyrexian revoker in the Mb and 1 sb. It's been pretty underwhelming tbh so I'll try cutting it from the mb and add a stonecloaker.
Do you have a list including Grand Abolisher? I'm not sure what I would cut to add it. I'm running 2 mirran crusader and a Brimaz mb that I could cut but those cards have been so good for me.
Is traditional D&T better than Eldrazi and Taxes at the moment in the new Jace/BBE meta? Just getting back into modern and have been testing E&T on mtgo with some success. Being able to strip the hands of Jace decks with Tidehollow and TKS has been real good, and Reality Smasher has yet to disappoint. Just not a fan of the iffy mana base. I've probably lost more games from my mana then my opponent actually beating me.
Received my modern master Goblin Guides in the mail today which finally completes my deck super excited to take this deck to some events coming up that are near me (even if they're a bit of a drive away). Will definitely be posting tournament results whenever possible!
One of the burn decks from Dallas was playing 3 Angels Grace in the sb. I'm guessing it comes in against combo decks (ad nauseam/grishoalbrand). Has anyone else tested it? And would you bring it in against anything else. Seems like it could be okay, probably wouldn't play 3 though which is what they were playing
As a burn player I have the toughest time going against bant eldrazi just wanted to post here and ask what about burn scares you the most? What would you not want us to play? Just trying to learn the matchup and how I can be better at it

After testing a little bit on xmage(I know this isn't the best source of doing this but it's all I have until all my cards come in) this is the list I've settled with.
I'm pretty happy with this list currently. I originally had the 4th Searing blaze in the main but found it pretty bad in some matchups so I thought cutting one and putting I in the side sound good and went up to the 3rd Helix in the MB.
Theres been a lot of disscussion about Lavamancer and personally I really like him. Sort of an awkward draw later in the game but early he wrecks face. Considering going up to 2 but one is good for now along with the shard volley.
The sideboard is just something I put together if I was going into an unknown meta. I originally ran 1 Kataki, War's Wage for affinity but the 4 revelry seems good enough. Was also running 2 Molten rain for these eldrazi and tron decks which I seem to have have a hard time against but found they were too slow and clunky so I cut them completely. How do you guys go about facing these eldrazi and tron decks? Also any suggestions on my last sideboard slot?
