As far as I can see the two biggest omissions to your list are instant speed removal and a draw engine of some sort. I'd make room for Swords to Plowshares and Path to Exile at the very least. As for draw Skullclamp is always great if you have a game plan that depends on sacrificing things. Mask of Memory is also pretty good too if you have enough evasive creatures. A draw doubler like Alhammarrett's Archive can work wonders as well. Finally, depending on how much mana you can ramp into, Kozilek, Butcher of Truth can be worth playing since with a sacrifice outlet and your commander on the battlefield he is a repeatable draw 4 and a huge threat wrapped up neatly in a single package.
Enlightened Tutor should go in since it helps you find the equipment and artifacts you need and can be thought of as an extra source of draw by fetching Skullclamp (from my experience that will be the thing you will most likely be searching for if you have nothing better to search for).

Spike Rogue posted a message on [450][Unpowered] The Jank CubeI've been getting a kick out of drafting your cube on the "Cube the above person's cube thread." I love what you've done here, by giving a home to all those rares that just don't seem to seem to have a home in any format and just seem to collect dust. I can almost hear Sarah Maclachlan music playing in the background while I look over your list, and it gives me hope that someday I can find a home for some of my own janky rares....Posted in: Cube Lists
The one thing that seems to be missing from your cube is mana fixing, which should help make a lot of your multi-color and color intensive cards a lot more playable. Most traditional cubes run about 10% mana fixing lands, which in a cube your size would be 4 lands per 2 color combination plus some 5 color fixers. I only see one in your whole cube list (Land Cap), so I have a hard time seeing how a lot of your 3+ color cards are even going to get drafted, much less played anywhere near on time. Far be it from me to recommend cube staples like ABU duals, fetches, shock lands, etc., for your cube - that's clearly not the kind of flavor you're going for here.
If you're just trying to get cheap, quality fixing, here are some underrated but legitimately playable budget rare duals that have worked well in my cheapskate cube:
M10/Innistrad check lands (Clifftop Retreat)
Scars of Mirrodin fast lands (Copperline Gorge)
Pain Lands (Karplusan Forest)
Something tells me that's not the kind of budget rare you're looking for, though. You might be more interested in these:
Lorwyn tribal duals (Auntie's Hovel)
Tempest ETBT pain lands (Caldera Lake)
Odyssey filters (Darkwater Catacombs)
Ice Age depletion lands, like the Land Cap you're currently running.
You could also fill out your lands section with some truly questionable 5-color fixers like these:
Crystal Quarry
Exotic Orchard
Forsaken City
Glimmervoid
Lotus Vale
Meteor Crater
Pillar of the Paruns
Rainbow Vale
Tarnished Citadel
Tendo Ice Bridge
Thran Quarry
I hope this helps. Happy cubing! -

Wheat_Grinder posted a message on Announcing the MTGS Beta! What I don't like about the switch to Curse:Posted in: Community Discussion
You can't tell which threads are unread, at least not easily. I play a lot of mafia, and so I like seeing at a glance which threads have new activity or not. And, on top of that, it makes everything a wall of bold titles so that no single one can easily strike out at the user. I lead with this because it is the largest killer for me.
The site also lacks the utilitarian visage of MTGS that I've come to love. I also dislike having black text on grey on black on blue being the colorscheme, and can't see a way to change that. I imagine with Curse's demographic that may be unlikely to change, either.
Last, I don't like the very top of the site telling me to get premium all the time. I'm not going to get premium and the site pushing me to get it only makes me want to take my time elsewhere. I will not like this page. That button only clutters the site. I will not tweet about this page. That button only clutters the site. I am not going to sign up when I'm already signed in, go away giant orange button. It's just. so. CLUNKY.
And that's a huge turnoff.
vBulletin may be outdated but apparently "modern" is synonymous with "cluttered".
If the move is made to Curse in the current state, I think I just may not move with it, except to finish out my remaining mafia games. There's a minimum standard of site cleanliness that Curse is not providing. -

I seem to be doing okay for the most part. My wife still has a fever, but she's been able to be up and mobile since last night.

@Kank: Fancy seeing you in your own thread.
Fancy eh?
Not quite as fancy as this chap though:

@Samurai 7: It was okay in my book. Samurai in an alternate sci-fi dimension... hmm... I can only think of period animes. Like Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai Champloo and Sengoku Basara. I mostly watch random random junkz... See list here.
@EDH challenge: The person you're waiting for is Syphon. He is basically 'clan rep' for that... - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Video Game Discussion! What are y'all currently playing? What's your favourite games? Would you recommend either?
Tabletop Discussion! What's the last tabletop you guys played? What's the best tabletop story you have?
I've been playing a lot of Warframe lately. It's been quite a blast but I wouldn't really recommend it unless y'all dont mind grinding for a bit to get to the point of being able to do endgame content (Which is primarily grinding more things to get more stuff to unlock cosmetic items :V).
As far as tabletop goes? I've been playing (besides magic) Pathfinder. Currently running a Gnome Cleric who found an android (Another PC) and is claiming it as his property. It's been fun but I really need to refine my character, he's been a bit insane so I'm a bit worried I'll lose sight of how my character should be playing from his standpoint.

Prime Speaker Zegana is pretty rad. Draws tons of cards, still has access to green so you'll get pretty awesome fatties.
I've seen Borborygmos Enraged in play, he's pretty fun to watch. Ruric Thar, the Unbowed makes for a pretty sweet aggro general that punishes your opponents for playing things that aren't creatures.
That all being said, if you had the most fun with Karador then a refined list with him at the helm is always a great idea. I was looking at him myself for quite a while.
All in all, hope this helps a bit.

@Sharpie; Your card has you putting verse counters on things but the verse counters don't do anything. Maybe having something like:
LS
Legendary Creature - Human
Prevent all damage dealt to ~.
Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, you may put a verse counter on target creature.
2: Prevent X damage that would dealt to and by each creature with a verse counter where X is the number of verse counters on them.
0/2
--
Lazer#, Overlord of Stars.
Legendary Creature - Super Saiyan
All players are now in a trap.
While players are in a trap, they cannot cast spells, attack or block.
At the beginning of each players upkeep, that player may attempt X star jumps to become untrapped where X is the total number of Verse counters on all permanents.
0/6
Or something. This way it's like a group sing-a-long . Either that or just remove the verse counters I guess. I'm not sure. Still seems like it could be an intersting legend. Only problem I have with W/U as colors are that most of those decks always turn into taxes or some kind of goodstuff deck.
@Kahedron, yeah. It'll still be summer here until sometime in November. If we're lucky, it'll be late October to early November; if we're unlucky, we don't get a winter this year. It was like 98(36c) a couple days ago, it's 89(31c) (feels like 103[39c]) today and it's supposed to be at 90(32c) for the rest of the week.
@Kank, isn't that Cali almost every year though? Not saying it doesn't suck, just seems like it always gets overly dry for no reason there.
