I have updated ALL of the $20 decks with Magic Origins, including the UB Control deck.

A heads up, just for you: if you have more money to spend, you should definitely play Clash of Wills and Dissolve (instead of Disdainful Stroke and Cancel).

In two recent SCG Opens, there was a U/W deck that placed 7th and a U/B deck that placed 10th.

I would say that U/W Control and U/B Control are your best budget control deck options right now.

I fixed up some sections: more words added to the sideboarding section, WAY more to the "building a budget deck" section, including two decks as examples.

Magic Origins will be added into decks this week as I have time and I have added in a few new decks.

It's about that time of year when I know some of you get wary about getting cards from the oldest block that's due to rotate out in the fall. Is there any interest in adding a section that only has decks using cards from Magic Origins, Dragons of Tarkir, Fate Reforged, and Khans of Tarkir?

I'm still in Silver, trying to climb back to Gold, but this game felt pretty good. It's not often I get this many kills on Thresh.

I main support (my three most played champs season 4 were Thresh, Leona, and Morgana), but I'm low gold / high silver ELO - take my musings with a grain of salt.

I've played him a few times and I found him to be really lacking. I really prefer supports to have a good kit, preferrably with some cc, engage, disengage, sustain, or shields and Bard just doesn't bring that to the table nearly as much as other champs. Thresh, Leona, Sona, Morgana, Janna, and Nami all have way better kits for supporting when a fight breaks out.

Bard feels like a cousin of Zilean and Nunu - they can help harass and provide some extra movement speed and slow, but they feel weak in the current meta.

He does some fun things and has a really unique set of abilities, but when I queue up for ranked, I'm not picking him as a support; he's just not as good as most of the other supports.

I went 4-6 in my promos and placed into Silver 2. I was Gold 4 at the end of last season. I haven't played much ranked to move up.

I went 4-6 in my promos, landing me in Silver 2.

I've ended the last three seasons in Bronze, Silver, and Gold, respectively, so I'm confident I can climb back to Gold soon.

I'm sorry; I don't. I just update the post here with each new set that comes out and just delete everything and start from scratch when there's a big rotation and a whole block goes out.

I made a few small updates to the decks and included a few new ones.

As far the U/B Control deck goes, if you have more money to spend, Perilous Vault is the best addition you can make - the deck is really missing mass removal, particularly of non-creature permanents.

I hear that Jarvan IV is really strong right now.

I worked so hard for this win. I destroyed 10 turrets and 8 inhibs, I think.

I added it; it's the better red aggro deck right now.

Well, you may be the exception. If you really need to play a one-drop, two-drop, three-drop every game, then don't play those lands.

I would still run the common/uncommon lands that produce more than one color. Unless you're trying to run a very aggressive two or three-color deck, you want to be able to cast all your spells and having the right colors is very important. The "real" decks run Temples.

On a budget, you don't get to scry, which is bad, but you have to make some compromises.

Just don't go too far and run 20 lands that all enter the battlefield tapped.
