The birds is mainly to guarantee a turn 2 Sword or Dungrove. Plus it's a flying body to hold the Sword..
Between 3 Garruk (who does more on his own) and 2 GSZ, there is plenty of tutoring.

Here's a similar thought I've been having. Cards that I think are traps - Predator Ooze, Prey Upon, and Garruk's Companion. All of those cards are great in theory, but there just aren't enough solid uses for them right now. Especially the Ooze, what with Vapor Snag running rampant. -

My FNMs have at least 30 ppl each week, and I've rarely played the same person twice (actually never I think) so I'm not too worried about being hated on. I am trying to work Naturalize into the sideboard. I'll probably replace a couple of Mountain with Copperline Gorges and try running 2x Naturalize in the sideboard. -

Total of 40 commanders, evenly drafted so each player ends up with at least 5 options for a commander (max 8 players of course). Commanders drafted can be in your regular deck if not selected as your commander. There are a few single color legendary creatures in the cube that could potentially be drafted and helm your deck if you get enough of that color.
I haven't been able to take on an event recently but I'm really excited to try out Once Upon a time and Murderous Rider
Having two traversable answers to PW is nice though. In a meta with lots of Jund and UW I think I would play both the Giant and Rider. But as it stands I think I like Plague Engineer in the main now more than ever. Murderous is probably too low of an opportunity cost NOT to include in the deck, and I have a personal affinity for GCR. It's won me so many games, I would almost never sleeve up without it.
Did you include the extra TBR in your Sideboard? That was probably the most notable thing from that list, besides maybe 3x Kcmd in the main board. Which honestly seems excessive to me. Likely a meta call expecting lots of SFM. I think 1-2 is probably reasonable still.

I'm also a little skeptical of the Bonecrusher Giant but it is nice that it can target Planeswalkers. Being a Sorcery is kinda lame though..
I haven't seen much of Humans in my area and there's consistently tons of Tron and Valakut and UWx control so I'm sticking with Fulminator Mage over the GQ / W6 plan.
Stephen Snelsen is a great Jund Shadow player from the SCG Philly area whose lists I've been following for over a year now. He's got a new spicy one sporting OUT and main board LOTV
I never board out Bauble but Street Wraith comes out against burn. I usually shave 1-2 Street Wraith against Humans and Spirits because I don't want my life total getting too low
Manamorphose is great at enabling delirium early. Personally I feel like 4x 3-drops is too much if you're only running 18 land
I don't find there to be a ton of value from LOTV in the main board. Some match-up it's fairly dead, others is great.
I think in your scenario you would still want an exarch just to have an additional CMC to potentially combo off. It's a shame Pod is gone because this new card would have been sweet for that deck.
I think castle locthwain is gonna be great for BGx and particularly Death's Shadow.
While Mystic Sanctuary is a house in UW Control. The counter-lock combo with Deprive should not be over-looked. Much easier on the mana than the old Eternal Command lock. And the new Sanctuary works just fine Cryptic Command as well

This is Satyr Wayfinder which only finds land and dumps all other cards into the yard.
Incubation//Incongruity is amazing in this deck and it helps achieve delirium very easily.
I think losing looting might be hurting the deck too much though
