How does regenerate works? for example in Blight Mamba it says that for 1G you can regenerate it.how does the mechanic work? like,It is triggerd before combat damage is dealt to it, sorta like a "shield"? or does it mean it can be "restored" of your graveyard once it's dead? when should it be triggered for it to work?
one exact example I need the info for:
I have Gifted Aetherborn already in the battlefield, and I cast Stromkirk Mentor, Could I target the aetherborn with the mentor?
I have a question about the phases of a player's turn,in regards to discarding cards. the rules say, if you have more than 7 cards in your hand by the end step, you must discard until that number is achieved.But :
let's say I have 7 cards on hand,and my opponent is playing. at some point on his/her turn (for what I think, Where Exactly I take action doesn't matter,but correct me if im wrong) I play Abzan Charm leaving me at 9 cards in hand. now the question is, when the end step of my opponent is reached,I there must discard 2 cards? or I can/should/must wait until My own end step to discard?
Really quick question, I've built a Selesnya commander deck,and I at the beggining put a Noble Hierarch into the deck,the buddy who I played with said it was not "legal" because it has the icon of Island mana, but I just read this from the rules : 903.4b Reminder text is ignored when determining a card’s color identity.
does this means that a Noble hierarch in a selesnya commander deck can be added?
Mother of Runes says "Tap: target creature you control gains protection from the color of your choice until end of turn",Eight-and-a-Half-Tails says something similar,combining the two effects, so let's say I have X creature,and im attacking, my opponent has a Centaur Healer on his side of the battlefield,Could I grant my creature both protection from white,and protection from green (one protection from the Mother,and one from the fox cleric) to make my creature not able to be blocked and damage to go through without problems?
so lest's say I have an Experiment One that has never evolved before,and I cast Doran,The Siege Tower, if im not mistaken it will trigger 1 instance of evolve for the experiment making it a 2/2, so what if then,Cast a Centaur Healer ? will it trigger a second instance of evolve? Or because The first evolve was trigger by toughness 5,secondary and later instances of evolve should be superior than 5(either toughness or power)?
As everyone who plays it,or knows of it a bit,Commander is well known to be a format where the predominant function is to have fun,while playing MTG,and the competitive side of it,While it still exists,it takes a secondary role.
Also, because it's a casual format,there's no such thing as a Rulebook for playing; Sure,everyone agrees that you start with 40 life,your deck is a 100 singleton deck with 1 commander and such,but the banned list is not always inforced,and usually there are "House rules" to which every group decides on rules for their on games. I've been playing it for like a month with a friend of mine,and I don't want to pretend im the Jon finkel of Commander,im not even the shoelaces of him.I've come to the conclusion,or the thought that some cards that are allowed for commander,Shouldn't, because it takes away the fun of it,to make it more competitive and trying to win fast and almost the the point of humiliating the opposing player,even thought,there's 1/100 chance to get that card,I just don't want to see it played,the list is here:
Also Honorable mentions : all leylines,all infect mechanic,and all eldrazi
I don't know about you,but I hate seeing this cards being played against me,yes,I will use that wording,im not ashamed,if this cards are played against me I will scoop and go home,it takes away the fun of playing for me. Anyways, do you agree? what would you take out from this list? or what would you add? I will appreciate the input and opinions
so.. Let's say I cast Bellowing Tanglewurm and I have a Watchwolf in play, would the watchwolf qualify to get the intimidate with green? and what about the white part of him? do white creatures will be able to block him? or only from this point on only green creatures will be able to block him?
so she needs to survive at least to a second turn (in a row) to use the ability?also.. if I cast a creature with it.. that said creature,could be counter trying to enter the battlefield? or will enter no matter what?
I have a question in the format commander,about abilities,summoning sickness and zones
I have as commander Captain Sisay and im wondering this;
If she's at the commander zone,and I cast her for the first time,is she under summoning sickness? or I can tap her to use the ability right away?
