    Cut Down B
    Instant
Destroy target creature with total power and toughness 5
    or less.

Generally stronger than disfigure, comparable to fatal push.

Card is from spoiled release notes.

    Cult Conscript B
    Creature — Skeleton Warrior
    2/1
Cult Conscript enters the battlefield tapped.
1B: Return Cult Conscript from your graveyard to
the battlefield. Activate only if a non-Skeleton creature
died under your control this turn.

Appears to be one of the top tier black recursive 1-drops. Can block, recurs to the battlefield, recursion trigger isn't too difficult to trigger.

Necroing this thread since the reprint means many more people are going to be able to afford to cube this for the first time. Wonder how many people are now intending to pick this up, now that the price won't be as much of a barrier?

Also, could we get a Ravages of War reprint here too? Pretty please? Think is would be brilliant if they made a version with art from Ravnica post War of the Spark.

Reddit had me rolling on the thread for this with Stonewall (Derrick Berry) jokes....

"This is what the people at Stonewall died for!"

and then this zinger about Bearscape....

"I was onboard until I saw Bearscape. It's just too difficult to shuffle my deck with one hand."

Had a strong feeling that this was better than the initial reception, but I still would not slot this in over Daretti. I'm probably going to slot this in over Dreadbore personally.

Nice to see some support for Baneslayer types -- I was pushing this same line in 2020 and the response was almost universally "nope, they're bad, thanks for playing" and then inevitably someone questioned the removal in my cube -- usually without looking at my readily available list. While power focused cube lists do have premium removal, the opponent still has to have it and have it before too much value has been accumulated. There's always going to be a place in my cube for the best 5CC threats that swing the game when unanswered even if they are susceptible to removal.

At 6CC on up I think you do have to insist on immediate value or self-protection -- the only 6CC and above creature I run that doesn't meet that standard is Consecrated Sphinx and this is because the card draw it generally provides makes this card worth it even without these features.

    1. I like Hellkite and Phoenix. Don't care for the others.
    2. Sorin
    3. Duress > Dread Fugue > Despise
    4. Plaguecrafter

    Azorious Cards

Geist of St. Traft has definitely fallen from favor from the cubes I've observed. I can see your 720 cube runs 7 guild cards deep so I'd probably rank what you've listed, what you've got, and a couple other considerations accordingly.
    1. Fractured Identity
    2. Teferi, Time Raveler
    3. Supreme Verdict
    4. Teferi, Hero of Dominaria
    5. Dream Trawler - Think this is better than Dragonlord Ojutai.
    6. Yorion, Sky Nomad
    7. Reflector/Queller - These two are dead even for me.

Think this is significantly better than Smoldering Egg personally. Smoldering Egg is more like Thing in the Ice. You get an early game wall that requires you to jump through hoops to get an eventual payoff. This has no hoops once cast and triggers off all non-creature spells, not just instants/sorceries. Also, want to point out this works off the amount of mana spent to cast spells. Fireblast cast by sacrificing mountains will create a 0/0 Dragon.

Choose a number between 0 and 13. Each player sacrifices that many creatures.

Won't break into smaller lists probably, but for lists that are large enough to include Fumigate and other 5CC Wrath+ type cards I think this is a pretty interesting option. Gets around indestructible. Can be situationally amazing in board states where you already have more creatures than your opponent and this enables you to wipe their board and you just lose your expendable threats.
