Maze's End is your best bet. Hard to disrupt, easy to stop any aggro decks, and the only rares you need to buy are Supreme Verdict and Detention Sphere, maybe a few sideboard options.

Your toughest matchups will be Mono B because of Gray Merchant, and Red Devotion because of direct burn and Mogis.

You're playing a lot of heroic friendly spells. I'd replace the Dryads with Favored Hoplite, and the Pegasus with Phalanx Leader.

It seems like there are better Reanimator targets like Worldspine Wurm

Worldspine Wurm would be an amazing reanimator target. It's a shame it can never be in your graveyard though.

As for fun decks, I think the most fun you can have in standard is Maze's End. Depends on whether you like playing the slow game or not.

With ratchet bomb you can use Rapid Hybridization and Curse of the Swine to clear the board without adding up counters. Having Swan Song in the sideboard would work well with it too. You would have to alter your win condition though, but there's better options for blue than Akroan Horse, and in budget price.

You gotta run Xathrid Necromancer in a Shadowborn Apostle deck.

Have you considered not playing the Cerberus and keeping your land count low, subbing say, Rakdos, Lord of Riots or Desecration Demon? I'm assuming you're already playing Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch.

I know it would result in a cliche' D&D fantasy film, but if any Mtg block were to be made into a movie, my vote would be a trilogy of Odyssey block. I've read the books, and I thought it had a great storyline with deep characters. I'd love to see Kamahl and Laquatus on the big screen :p

Uhh yeah, lol. The Turtleshell Changeling discussion drew out a little bit, but I'm glad I found the error in my play.

See, the situation where I faced it down, I let the switch ability resolve, then played an inversion. Stupid move, as he used mana to switch it again, let the inversion resolve, then instead attacked for 7!! Ugh, that was my worst play to date.

This has got to be the most ridiculous draft I have ever done. Anyone who has drafted with me knows that I am a sucker for removal. Sometimes I've cost myself good decks because I've drafted too many spells and not enough creatures. Also, anyone who knows my draft style knows I usually run black, seeing as though it is the one color consistent in killing creatures, that and red which is usually an accomplice :p

Anyways, I'm at a draft table doin Lorwyn, and I kid you not I was shocked. I've heard rumors of Lorwyn packaging errors, where people get the same cards in a row and whatnot, but that couldn't even explain what happened. Here I am picking my usual high picks in this block, Inversions, Lash Outs, evasion, and I keep seeing Eyeblights Ending popping up. Now, I overrate the card, and as a matter of fact if I had played anyone that night playing elves Ida been screwed. Anyways, it turns out that throughout 3 rounds of drafting I end up drafting SEVEN Eyeblights, with signals of others playing black.

I'm rambling on, but the fact of the matter is this ended up biting me in the butt. Not only did I lose in the finals to someone packing annoying changelings, like the 1/4 blue one who dominates black and red removal in this set basically, but I was also questioned by the tournament coordinator about my seven cards. Apparently they thought it was fishy that I got that many. Well, isn't it not also fishy that out of the (8*3) 24 packs at the table, no one else had any Eyeblights? Boy, if one thing pisses me off its ignorance and accusation.

I'm sure someone has had this curse behalf them, where they have gotten great cards in great numbers, but you shouldnt seen their reaction when I showed them my 45 cards at the end of drafting. Thoughts? I just thought I'd share a story of mine. I'd also like to know how abundant Eyeblight's Ending is in Lorwyn packs, so I can clear this up.

I think you might be better off running RW instead of RG. RW gives you Ancient Ampitheatre, Kithkin Greatheart, Avian Changeling, Brion easier, ect.

With the ridiculous amount of aggro in the metagame today, you need more speed, and a lot of high cost giants without mana accel is going to get stomped!

Regarding the original thread decklist, I really like the idea of Faerie Harbinger. And I thought to myself, if you had more of them, it'd be nice to be able to search up Scion of Oona, since having shroud would be great for Cairn Wanderer. I'm running one of him for good luck :p

I don't know this guy, but if I had two land and had the one with Furtile Ground enchanted on it destroyed, I'd a called it game and left too. I mean, land destruction is generally irritating.

Umm, if I could add something here, heh, do you really need Warp World? I mean, it seems like the only thing you would actually get that's good is Hellkite, and since every permanent is put into your deck, it makes it even harder to draw into one.

Maybe you should consider running more win conditions, or a way to search for the Hellkites.

The only problem I have with this card is that it is vulnerable. You obviously can't build a deck around the guy, and one-ofs that are searchable with him aren't going to work with the massive creature removal running around. The only thing I see him being played as is a commodity. Where the deck has many creatures, and Transfigure isn't a necessity, but rather a convient ability at times.

With that, I think he works great with Korlash. If I had to put him in any standard deck right now, it'd be zombies where he could go search for Undead Warchief or Korlash.

I'm really suprised that your deck has enough threats. I mean, you have 26 lands, almost half of the deck, and you also have 8 mana sources in Coldsteel Heart and Coalition Relic. How do you draw enough threats and not draw much land? Aside from the Mesa and Disintegrate, that amount of mana isn't really going into something productive. I'd cut the land to 23-24 at most.
