Feb 2, 2018Swaider posted a message on Sidisi, Brood Tyrant: Zombie horde and shenanigans! (Competitive, Budget, and Zombie Tribal - 3 versions!)Speaking of ways to gain life, I had Pontiff of Blight for a while in my deck. It will cost a bit mana but it fit decks towards a zombie theme.Posted in: Multiplayer Commander Decklists
Dec 28, 2017Posted in: Commander (EDH)Quote from Gashnaw »Labman, gush, lion's eye diamond, yawg will, there are quite a few cards you can play to pull it off. The fact that he only had a few cards removed from his deck and could not pull off a proper doompile proves he is a very poor player and should not be playing doomsday.
It was casted very early in the game, so mana is one of the problems if you want to use that pile. Maybe it would be more wise to wait a bit before using it as that is hard to get far with just 3 mana. So I personally don't see a problem with that player using that card, that kind of situation is quite unlikely to happen.
I put a solution together, but that requires you to use a banned card for commander, didn't think what was on the banlist when I put this together.
Draw Ancestral Recall
Tap Gemstone Caverns for U to cast it and draw Dark Ritual, Gitaxian Probe , Aphotic Wisps (or another card that replaces itself for B)
Cast Gitaxian Probe with life and draw the last card that is Laboratory Maniac
Tap Chrome Mox and cast Dark Ritual to generate BBB
Cast Laboratory Maniac with mana from Watery Grave and the ritual. (UBB)
Cast Aphotic Wisps with the remaining B, you draw a card from that, but you have no library. You win.
now try to replace Ancestral Recall with something...
Dec 18, 2017Beside classic grave hate, one card I can think of that can take advantage of the situation is Grave Betrayal, if stuff dies it become yours. Endless Whispers can also change the whole situation, but it will be be a bit more chaotic and messy as nothing will truly die as they will just change owners instead.Posted in: Commander (EDH)

Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs for some defence
Taurean Mauler something that just get bigger
maybe Goblin Spymaster to make the board more of a mess
I was mainly thinking of effects that helps put more lands in play/filtering like Courser of Kruphix and Oracle of Mul Daya, but if you want the top card to be a surprise they will probably not be ok
Acidic Slime to nuke stuff.
Mikaeus, the Unhallowed buff and prevent stuff from dying
Body tutors as Sidisi, Undead Vizier and Rune-Scarred Demon to fetch more "spinners"
Nov 16, 2017You can probably find some interesting combos in Mairsil, the Pretender-decks as both include black and red.Posted in: Commander (EDH)
Creatures that can tap and untap, like Avatar of Woe + Torchling for cheap creature destruction.
I don't know if combined monsters would break apart if they die but undying + persist would make stuff not die.
It just say graveyards, so that is possible to include some cards that mills if you want some focus on stealing creatures from other people.
Nov 14, 2017Swaider posted a message on Options for giving creatures to opponents but not to yourselfI guess chaos warp is already in your deck as an answer, it might happen that permanent is a creature.Posted in: Commander (EDH)
Then we have dark salvation to give a bunch of zombies to someone.
While I don't think Endbringer's Revel and Oath of Ghouls will be good for your plan, but it will make sure that your opponents will have creatures to cast.
I see the possibility to use Kormus Bell + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth in your build to make lands creatures, but that would sadly also hurt yourself. :/
Nov 14, 2017One aura not mentioned spectral grasp, that makes the voltron still able to attack people around the table, not you. No longer your problemPosted in: Commander (EDH)
Then we have blazing archon that says no to creatures attacking you.
Edit: Pariah, depending on power/toughness it might end up the voltron is killing itself if it is attacking you, or use it on other creature as pseudo removal if you get hit of something.
Sep 26, 2017Engineered Plague would make them a bit less damaging, but would probably not affect dragons muchPosted in: Commander (EDH)
Circle of Solace for some dragon protection
Tsabo's Decree similar to the mentioned Extinction
Spreading Plague can be an interesting mass removal
Sep 11, 2017Keening Stone can be more useful if you can use opponents graveyards as an resource. I have been tinkering a bit with a Geth, Lord of the Vault deck lately, and dropped a Keening Stone as a why not? More stuff to cast for me and alternative wincon if I am already milling people, also I have no access to blue for the more traditional mill cards.Posted in: Commander (EDH)
Sep 9, 2017Yea, ramp players is a bit concerning with those cards, that is why I think Well of Knowledge and Endbringer's Revel might not be good options as they can bring too much resources.Posted in: Commander (EDH)
Scandalmonger is sorcery speed so people will have at least one card to use each turn. If the ramp player abuse it other players on the table will probably hate back with it. If you think politics.
I am just thinking of ways to stir up some hate on the table.
Sep 8, 2017Hey, I am thinking of putting a deck together with Mathas, Fiend Seeker as commander and consider to use cards that anyone can activate.Posted in: Commander (EDH)
Anyone with experience of cards like:
Task Mage Assembly
Well of Knowledge
In what way do people usually react to them? Is some of the cards unwise to include?
Jul 22, 2017Swaider posted a message on Mill Cards that also have powerful other effects? (like Geth or Consuming Aberration)Extract from Darkness is basically grab any creature you want from a grave + a bit mill.Posted in: Commander (EDH)
Jul 16, 2017Maybe, but I guess you will have better support in esper colors as you will also have access to the blue/black zombies. Also you can use Rooftop Storm that was mentioned if you mix in blue.Posted in: Commander (EDH)
You can probably toss in Debtors' Knell and Emeria, the Sky Ruin for some more potential recursion.
