Huh, I must have missed it. I guess I should see if I can find a computer program copy.

well since RTR got a minibook Jace and Ral have cropped up already in the novella, both of which are slated to or already have appeared in the sets. If Domri and Gideon show up in the next two books i'll be sure to let ya know.

Wait is the RTR novella even out yet?

Pfft, Sorin's "larger role" in Innistrad wasn't even a plot point. He never found Avacyn like he was supposed to, there was never any major tension between him and the Markovs like was stated several times, him and Tibalt weren't even in the same room together until the Duel Deck. Sorin is by far my favorite of our new PW's, but dear lord do they ever need to actually run with their own ideas. Vess had a larger role in shaping Innistrad's conflict than Sorin did. And all she wanted to do was kill a demon and get the hell out.

Don't feel too bad. I haven't been playing much since I've been in an EDH mood. But I've been playing a lot lately with Sarah and Torrie or with the Pack so yeah. Though since Sarah and Torrie don't have a plethora of decks it gets kinda tiring fighting off counter-control and reanimator... even if Sarah's Shirei deck is super fun to play with and against.

I'm 43 right now. The Pack has a guild (run by me obviously) on Kaineng.

I've been playing Guild Wars 2 and Resident Evil 5 lately. And once installed, Far Cry 3.

I'm almost an exclusive PC gamer. I own a PS3, but the bulk of my gaming is all on PC. My steam account is LordSethD, my profile name is Seth Dracovitch. Just send an invite to which ever one works and I shall add you.

Seth: From what I've heard, Far Cry 2 wasn't great because they changed the setting from tropical island, and they tried to put too much emphasis on realism. Far Cry 3 fixes both of these. Guns no longer jam (which I hear they did) you can tag people with the camera or while zoomed in on sights, to see where they are going. You can crash gliders into pirates, wrestle crocodiles, etc, etc.

The realism wasn't bad, the gun jamming was. Setting a whole set of plains on fire was a fun part of the realism. But yeah, I think it was the way hyper realism that really made it unfun. Sometimes realism can be fun, but too much ruins it. FC2 was over that hump of unfun realism.

<Anyhow, torrenting FC3 as we speak. Probably be done in the next day or so.>

I might torrent it to give it a shot then. Far Cry 2 was a real disappointment.

And I'm 17! If I lived in the Wizarding World, I would be an adult.

One more year in the real world and you're an adult (Legally anyway). And then three years after that you're an adult again (21, able to buy Alcohol and handguns)! And then a mere two years after that you finally become a full fledged adult (able to rent a car)! Isn't life just easy?

The forums! They are (for the most part) blue again!

At 7:45 AM tomorrow, I will be 17. Another year closer to the rest of my life. I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, it's cool to be closer to college and being an adult. On the other hand, I feel slightly panicked. I thought I'd be able to drive by now, that I would have a girlfriend by now. Hell, I thought I would have so much more of my life figured out right now.

Unless you were bread into perfection and had your life decided for you, life is never as simple as "by this age, I should have done this much." Just relax and enjoy life instead of worrying about the future so much. Sure preparation is important, but it's not worth worrying all night over.

I am not proud to say I spent a little too long looking for a way to change it back before realizing why the green is here. I suppose it's not so bad, except for my dislike of the color green.

Welcome back Castle! Do you have Skype? Would you like to become a part of our group skype chat? Would you like to answer a question at the chance of winning a million dollars?

So I latched on to Sarah's idea of using a new sub type, but didn't like the creature idea. So I decided that the instants and sorceries will have the sub type and certain creatures will have a special keyword to cast them.

The spells will cost colorless mana, but only be able to be cast if you control one of the special creatures OR a planeswalker.

The creatures will have a special keyword that will not effect the cost or power level of the creatures.

So those are my two example cards. The names soul and attunement are just placeholder names. My biggest problem is coloration, trying to make them colorless but still have colors. But then that kind of defeats the whole purpose... blah

This is what I get for trying to adapt non-MTG spell mechanics to MTG...

    Thoughts?

So far this is probably the best idea, from a friend.

Make a new subtype for creatures, instants and sorceries. like Soul or something. So you'd have "Soul Creature- Human Soldier" or "Soul Sorcery." All Soul instant/sorceries can only be cast if you control a Soul Creature. And to make life easy, make soul creatures cost colored mana and all soul instant/sorceries cost colorless mana. For the frames, well just use whatever really.

The good part about this, is that it can work with PW's too. My biggest problem with this idea is that for creatures, it would make the type line really short with legendaries. And I abhor making tiny squished together type lines. This means it either needs to be reworded, or give certain creatures a keyword ability that allows them to cast the spells.
