GP Vegas time is in 1 month and 3 weeks. Anyway it was around 3 months when I commented.
Not sure if they'll annouce it at GP Vegas. It does seem a little late for an announcement and in the articles they make no mention of anything except hour of devastation spoilers. However I don't think they have many earlier events in June so I'd say GP Vegas is a great guess at very best.
Well we know of 3 things before the announcement day even hit now. We know of Ixlan, commander 2017, and Iconic Masters. I'm wondering what is left that they could have not announced (unless they are just doing the spring blocks too in 2018 which I doubt). Also I'm not sure it's me but I feel these announcement days are not working for wizards and they should do away with them.
Now that we know all the Rare and Mythic Rares, I think the Multicolored section starts right after Watchful Naga. If it starts at 194 then there's room in multicolor for 10 Uncommon two color draft cards.
Unless I mis-counted I only have 51/53 rares, which 2 am I missing from the crunch?
I don't think you missed any. I think the number is just wrong. Here is what I counted in the crunch for each catergory:
6 white
6 blue
6 black
6 red
6 green
4 multicolored
10 split
3 artifacts
6 land
Added together this adds to 53 not 51. It's all already in the crunch.

I don't know why green got support a lot but it is a little unbalanced. That said I don't see a 4 colored mythic so my bet is on an artifact or land still for last card. I can see wizards printing an artifact for Hazzort's spear or a desert mythic land/
With Nissa as UG I think that covers the 3rd mythic for both colours which probably means a mythic land or artifact I'm leaning land, because I have a hard time imagining there is a more powerful artifact than bolas' throne. The only thing it could be is Bolas' horns.
I think we are at 12 mythics right now and red still has 2 mythics. Do you think red may get a third mythics as well? If not maybe we will get an artifact and a land along with the black colored god yet to be revealed. Also I think a legendary desert land may fit the flavor text well for set.
Edit: just looked at the mythic count. It says 13/15 but I only counted 12 revealed mythics (without Bontu). Am I missing something? I saw 3 white, 2 blue, 2 blacks, 2 reds, 2 green, and 1 multicolored.
So with cruel reality can we expect to see 4 black mythics in this set? We got liliana, Bontu, and now cruel reality. I'm wondering if they'll move Razaketh to hour of devastation since I feel like 4 black mythics seems a little unbalanced at least to me anyway. Then again this is a graveyard set so who knows what will happen.
Today a card named Djeru's resolve was revealed. I'm wondering if we are either getting a white legendary creature or (and this may be a stretch) if the blue god is named Djeru. I'm leaning toward legendary creature though.
Edit: I actually found flavor text on another card for Djeru. Forgot name of it but it was a black Minotaur card. It's not the blue god but Djeru is probably a white legendary creature if it is in the set.
So I see two things from the story. 1. This is almost proof that Bolas is in the second block in the amonket set.The paragraph did say when he returns. 2. I'm willing to bet hour of devastation will be when the sun gets between the Bolas horn mounment. The block I think will focus on what Bolas does on Amonket in his return.
I was kind of looking forward to Atlazan and hoping it was true (I've been waiting for a water themed set) but I'm guessing that this next announcement for the fall set will be a return to set! The wizards is hyping it it will be a return to a highly anticipated plane.
I'm not a fan. With madness still in standard, this may help opponents and it seems pushed as far as flavor. It's like wotc HAVE to have a demon and angel in every single block, which I don't understand much.
We have room for 3 rares and 1 mythic. I can see two of the rares being kari/kari's expertise and the other being Surash or Advika. However I'm unsure on the last mythic. Technically the last mythic could be the black mythic for the set but I can also see it being Surash or Advika. That is unless Surash is the black mythic.

Nope, the ultimate says "if a creature you control would die" so it's only what you would control.
