That would make you very susceptible to discard + Surgical Extraction. We don't even have countermagic unlike Scapeshift/BTL lists

2 more jund lists yesterday and today going 5-0 which have cut all bolts, running 4 pushes in MB as well as fulminator.

Has anyone been tinkering with the old Simic Genesis Wave build recently? The new Nissa, Steward of Elements makes me wonder if I can slot it into that deck... it is a non-bo with Genesis Wave though, sadly.

We have a faster game plan than deaths shadow, eldrazi tron, and bant. I don't see why one would remove the best sweeper in modern atm for a hard to cast spell like abrupt decay. Titanshift is still putting up the best combo deck results as pure RG in this meta and that alone should say enough about what should be played main board.

There are plenty of decks you're going to sit across from OTHER than death's shadow. It's not good practice to get tunnel vision when your scared of something making headway in the meta. Flocking to a worse game 1 plan against the field as a whole will cost you games. So far I haven't read anything that should convince anyone that push and decay should be played in our MB at the expense of diluting our game 1.

Black belongs in the sideboard only and Prismatic omen is not warranted . Those omens should just be a real ramp spell to put us in the same position that we would be in regardless with the exception that we have actual board advancement in the form of lands. Not an enchantment that doesn't do anything on its own. Omen hasn't been good enough for some time now and that's not really changed now because of a good GBx deck.

Results-wise, Jund Scapeshift just won SCG Worchester classic last week, out of a field of over 300 players

The newly spoiled Harvest Season could potentially find a home here methinks. It lowers the vulnerability of our creature-based ramp by finding some forests. What do you guys think?

    Rough translation:

Corcery 2G. search for up to X basic land cards from your library and put them onto the battlefield tapped, shuffle your library. X equal to number of tapped creature you control

Correct me if I'm way off the mark here, but Samut, Voice of Dissent appears to be insane for Titanshift. You can end-step flash it in to avoid removal, then cast a turn 4 hasted Titan

My list took down the SCG Classic yesterday. So much for people here saying it is inconsistent.

lol "my list" I would say its the guys list that won tourney that took it down but yes that was a great weekend for scapeshift. I will correct since this was specified at me, I said I find the black source makes the list more inconsistent for no good reason. Then in a further post I said oh prismatic omen helps that a lot to fix the inconsistency I was finding in my black list. I don't play prismatic omen because I like KHE better for various reasons which we can of course discuss. You seem to take offence easily just from others stating their experiences with lists its really unhelpful to the whole discussion about the deck in general.

So you're saying he didn't take my 74 cards and make it into his 75? Is it wrong to say my list? The sideboard, mainboard everything is like I posted for the first time over one month ago.

I'm not offended at all by suggestions, I am offended by people saying something is or is not in a certain way when they don't really have tested it properly. I mean I don't personally care if you don't like the black splash. I was sharing my list here over a month ago for this very reason, so people could win tournaments with it like he did. And so that actual people that have tested it properly can give suggestions to tune it further.

You made lots of "misplays" and claimed that it is basically inconsistent. When it is not that inconsistent. It was no suggestion from your part just an half-assed comment based on one game.

If anything your comment is not helpful since people will think it is inconsistent and won't even give it a try.

I'm buying into Jund Shift now to give it a spin. Been playing the Gruul version but lack removal for DS which cost me a game last night. Just wanna ask - how do I sequence fetching my lands? I would imagine getting a black source down by turns 2/3 is important, and blood crypt is the preferred black land to fetch as it adds to mountain count. Or does it really not matter since we have prismatic omen anyway to make all lands mountains?

And do you have any tips in general / things to look out for when playing Jundshift?

    Champion of Rhonas

That is a CRAZY ability. We've had Elvish Piper before; but this is just a hair better...may be just enough to see play.

Kinda neat in T&N especially because you can just hardcast Xenagod and give Champion of Rhonas haste (and you already play a bunch of fatties to cheat in).

I like it. Anything that cheats mana and gets permanents down quick is great for us. Fragile (sort of) but is a Must Kill. I'm trying it immediately!

This is filthy. We can power it out turn 2 with Arbor - Sprawl. They get 1 turn to remove it, failing which, we put whatever the heck we want into play.

I'm considering cutting bolts to play 2 more pushes (up to 3), 1 more terminate (up to 4) and 1 more pulse (up to 2).

I've been seeing lists with Hornet Nest in the sideboard pop up more and more. May be useful tech against DS notwithstanding their discard and Tarfire (which still gives you 2 deathtouchers). May just be the thing we need to buy that crucial 1 to 2 turns to combo off

Not sure where this comes from but valakut/burn are not good matchups for grixis ds.

I would say that burn is about 50/50 and that you are heavily favoured against valakut...they can't handle disruption + a fast clock (that doesn't die to bolt/anger)

50/50 is not good. I play rg breach titan and after g1 feel I'm heavily favored. I even won G3 keeping a 5 lander with 2 search for tomorrow. Perhaps people you've tested/played with haven't changed their builds since ds hit the scene?

What do you bring in and what's in your MB?

Played breach titan and folded to discard so many times

Hey guys, i have two questions

When you play valakut from your hand if you expect fulmi/surgical or crumble after sideboard? Or you never play it

Should i mulligan a hand with bolt-2Accelerators-4 lands (no valakut)?

    Regards

    1. Don't play Valakut until you can fetch them with Titan or win off Shift. Either that or play both Valakut out by turn 2 so you don't get blown out.

    2. Personally, I'll keep that hand. This deck topdecks like a dream

A little disheartened after my first GPT here in Hawaii. I started off the day 2-0 against soul sisters(2-0) and ad nauseum (surprisingly 2-0 again), but then I ran into a brick wall. Next game was against Jund and game one was super grindy. He was able to deal with all of my threats one after another until he ran out of disruption and I craterhoof for the win. Games 2 and 3 were extremely frustrating as he was able to get goyf and lilli on the battlefield too quick for me to do anything, and he had the perfect amount of disruption to go with it... next match was against a kitchen finks combo deck where again game one I was able to do everything correctly, but then I was mana screwed the next game and couldn't find a finisher fast enough the game after. He was able to turn 4 combo me both games.

My 5th game was against burn and he wiped he floor with me game 1. I had a thragtusk in hand the entire game, but he would prevent life gain each turn I could cast him. Game 2 I was able to cast a turn 3 Elderscale Wurm and survived a massive deflector palm after I played craterhoof. Game 3 I played a turn 4 elderscale wurm that he was able to path, but I already had nissa generating enough tokens to hold off his attacks and once he tapped out I played craterhoof for the win. Deflector palm is terrifying....

So I made it into the Top 8 (7 of 8) and got to play once again the same Jund player. This go around was even more frustrating as I mulled to 6 both games and was stuck on one land for several turns. Game 2 I was stuck with nykthos on the battlefield and unable to cast any spells the entire game, it was sad. I thought I was so prepared for Jund with mainboard Chameleon Collosus and side board blood moons and obstinate baloth, but I never saw a blood moon and he had path ready for Chameleon.

Overall I am happy to have my first Top 8 in the states, but I'm left wondering how to take on so many Jund decks out there running abrupt decay, Lilliana, Goyf, and Push...

I believe the answer may be Chameleon Colossus or Thrun, the Last Troll. Just don't run any into Liliana without a sacrificial token

Being a Valakut Player, I've been blown out by Thoughtseize into Surgical, then Lost Legacy in the same game before. It becomes nigh impossible to win.
