Blood Moon can win games against an unsuspecting Jund player. And even if he knows you're running Moon, sometimes he draws hands without fetches / basics in situations when he can't afford to mull anymore. As a jund player, I always fear blood moon, to the extent that I make sure I fetch around it.

Very interested in the top 8/16 results in the next few big modern events going forward, and whether they will be indicative of a ban. Until then I'm happy to have my leylines permanently chilling out in the board.

Four copies of Hogaak in the top 8, taking 1st to 3rd positions.

Local metagaming is hilarious, there was once when half the room switched to Ponza after my second week taking Titanshift. But that doesn't speak to the state of the format as a whole.

I love my BG/x but I don't like feeling gimped. Tons of Tron and UW control these days. Dredge I can handle, I even like the deck myself.

This primer is never going up, is it lol. I remember reading back since late 2017/early 2018 that it's gonna go up. Fast forward and two months of 2019 have passed Confused

The Rock did good in the modern challenge, clinching 1st, 8th & 13th

    Some observations:
    - All 3 decks ran 4 Bobs, 2 Trackers, 5 Lilianas
    - The 1st and 13th decks ran 2 trophies, 2 decays, 2 spellbombs, 2 FoR, 4 treetop villages in the main

Great primer. Perhaps I could suggest a little section which compares and dissects the strengths and weaknesses of Rock, Abzan and Jund and elucidates which deck to bring into a given meta. Will be an interesting read.

Is there a need to cripple dredge? I personally think things coming off the ban list + new printings sound more palatable.

Not gonna lie, Cragganwick warms my timmy soul. But I'd play Titanshift still just because.

Maindeck relics put in work, I used to be against that because I like to be hyper linear but they really help to slowdown grave decks..... which a sizeable portion of the meta are these days (directly or indirectly relying on the grave).

Smooth 3-0 tonight, deck felt smooth and powerful. Beat Jeskai 2-0, Runaway Red 2-0, Sultai Midrange 2-1.

Damping Sphere on Runaway Red proved very, very efficacious.

So Jund was the 3rd most played deck heading into Day 2 of Atlanta (23 players, 7.3% meta share) with a non-existent top 32 conversion rate of 0%.

    I hope/wish it's an aberration but somehow I know it isn't.

We need more tools to be printed in upcoming sets.

Gosh, Jund got slaughtered there. Was getting a bit hyped seeing as a Jund deck and Sol Malka went 8-0 for day 1.

    Gotta accept reality I guess.

What about Titanshift decks? Do you think its good currently?

I do. In fact, my 20 person FNM last Friday gave us two 3-0-1 players, myself on Titanshift and another guy on Amulet Titan. We played it out for fun and I won 2-0, because I was luckier than him, including a top decked Scapeshift when I was dead on board. I am going to do more testing, but I found Amulet to be favored in the matchup 55/45.

I think if people are trying to play fair decks and Tron, then Titanshift is in a good spot and I am happy to say that. Grin

Having played Titanshift on and off for the past 2+ years, my personal experience is that it is slightly unfavoured against Amulet, which is usually 1 turn faster.

Haha yea I miss my old friend Primeval Titan.

The KCI / Hollow One meta was pretty tough, but the deck is just under the radar now. With a few concessions to aggro decks, I feel that it can take down a big event anytime.
