In this situation, my opponent attacks me with Brazen Wolves, I block with a Cordial Vampire, and I cast Abnormal Endurance on the Cordial Vampire before damage. When the damage resolves and both Brazen Wolves and Cordial Vampire die, can I arrange the triggers so that Cordial Vampire comes back to the battlefield tapped AND gets two +1/+1 counters on it?
I have a situation where I have two Bishop of Rebirth(Bishop), a Bloodmist Infiltrator(Infiltrator), and an Indulgent Aristocrat (Aristocrat) in play. I know that if I sacrifice the Infiltrator to the Aristocrat, I can bring it back by attacking with a Bishop.
My question is:
If I sacrifice the Infiltrator to the Aristocrat and then attack with BOTH Bishops, can I bring back the Infiltrator with Bishop 1's ability and then sacrifice it to the Aristocrat a second time before Bishop 2's ability resolves(assuming I have enough mana to pay for each activation)?
Let's say I have Siegehorn Ceratops and Outrider en-Kor on the battlefield and my opponent has a 2/2 creature in play. If I cast Prey Upon to have my Outrider fight the 2/2 creature and activate the Outrider's ability twice to redirect the damage to the Ceratops, how would it play out(assuming my opponent doesn't have any tricks)?
I know that my opponent's creature would die, but would the Ceratops get pinged for 1 damage, get two +1/+1 counters, then get pinged for 1 more damage and get two more +1/+1 counters? or would it receive the 2 damage at once and die before it gets counters?
I had a feeling that was going to be the case. Thanks for clearing that up! If I had the same scenario but had Mentor of the Meek instead of the Packleader, could I trigger both abilities?
Let's say I have a Sigil Captain and a Garruk's Packleaderin play. If I cast a 1/1 creature, I know that I'll trigger Sigil Captain and put two +1/+1 counters on the creature I just cast (making it a 3/3), but will making that creature a 3/3 also let me trigger Garruk's Packleader and draw a card?
Thank you so much for the quick response! I did not know that. I guess I'll just have to sideboard removal for it. I was thinking of sideboarding Ruinous Path. Are there any other better Modern-legal options in black I could use (my deck is black/red)?
One of my friends has a Merfolk deck that runs Master of Waves. I know that Protection from red will protect Master of Waves from being Damaged, Enchanted/Equipped, Blocked, or Targeted by anything that's red. There are a couple of cards in my deck that I think can help me deal with its Protection and wanted to ask a couple of questions to see if these cards interact the way I think they do.
I think in both situations the Master of Waves would be destroyed because Soul-Scar Mage replaces the damage with -1/-1 counters and the other cards don't target, but I'd like know for sure.
If Player 1's trigger resolves first Kalonian Hydra would be a 7/7 (which is more advantageous for Player 1), but if Player 2's trigger resolves first Kalonian Hydra would be a 6/6 (which is more advantageous for Player 2). I know that's only a difference of 1/1, but I'd like some clarity on this so that one person doesn't accuse the other of stacking things in their favor.
Hi everyone, I'm building a deck based on -1/-1 counters and I have a couple of questions for a possible scenario I would find myself in when playing the deck.
I was playing Magic with my friends yesterday and an interesting situation came up that we'd never encountered. I had Mosswort Bridge in play and my friend (I'll call him Cameron for anonimity) enchanted it with Contaminated Ground. If I destroyed Cameron's Contaminated Ground with Naturalize would I be able to play the card I exiled with Mosswort Bridge earlier or would it remain exiled for the rest of the game?
My question is:

Let's say I have Knotvine Paladin, Ledev Champion, and 3 other creatures in play as well as Brave the Sands. If I attack with Knotvine Paladin and Ledev Champion, can I have Knotvine Paladin's ability resolve first (giving it +5/+5 until end of turn) and then have Ledev Champion's ability resolve and tap all my creatures to give it +5/+5 until end of turn as well?
#1 If I have a Soul-Scar Mage in play and I cast Electrickery or Mizzium Mortars for its Overload cost, would I be able to destroy Master of Waves (assuming it has no other buffs)?
#2 If I have a Soul-Scar Mage and a Circle of Flame in play and my opponent attacks me with Master of Waves (assuming it has no other buffs), would it be destroyed?
I think in both situations the Master of Waves would be destroyed because Soul-Scar Mage replaces the damage with -1/-1 counters and the other cards don't target, but I'd like know for sure.
Situation:
It is Player 1's combat phase. Player 1 has a Kalonian Hydra (4/4) in play (doesn't have summoning sickness) and Player 2 has a Soul-Scar Mage and a Circle of Flame in play. If Player 1 attacks with the Kalonian Hydra, which attack trigger will resolve first? The Kalonian Hydra trigger or the Circle of Flame trigger (and subsequently Soul-Scar Mage's damage replacement effect)?
If Player 1's trigger resolves first Kalonian Hydra would be a 7/7 (which is more advantageous for Player 1), but if Player 2's trigger resolves first Kalonian Hydra would be a 6/6 (which is more advantageous for Player 2). I know that's only a difference of 1/1, but I'd like some clarity on this so that one person doesn't accuse the other of stacking things in their favor.
Scenario:
Let's say I have Soul-Scar Mage, Form of the Dinosaur and Nest of Scarabs in play. It is the beginning of my upkeep and I target a 6/6 creature with Form of the Dinosaur's ability.
My questions are:
How many tokens would I get from Nest of Scarabs?
How much damage would I be dealt from the creature I targeted?
