    This card along with its extra combat brothers is straight up broken with Yidris, Maelstrom Weilder. There are also certainly enough worthwhile creatures that make the “untap 1” clause a minor hurdle.

    Honestly I doubt this has any place in EDH, but it does reminds me much of Kamigawa - insular design that doesn’t play well with others, similar to arcane spells, this Leonin probably only plays well in Theros Block EDH, if that even exists.

    You should cheat, just like I do, delve spells and anything with an alternative casting cost is Yidris’ best friend.

    I currently have 12 decks and I’m plannig on building more, for the time being I have 2 BCW cardboard boxes each containing 6 decks, and my backpack could easily fit a third. I guess it depends on what you want to carry with you, but this has so far been my best solution. Once I hit 18 decks though, I’ll have to custom build a box capable of holding more.

    No Mercy, Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Sphere of Safety are all fairly useful deterrents, and then Edict effects will get around the Hexproof Geth's Verdict, Chainer's Edict, Innocent Blood and Barter in Blood.

    And then of course there are board wipes like Rout and Cyclonic Rift/Evacuate where you can instant speed remove their hex proof commander.

    But you really want to use the spells at different times, ramp early on and draw later on to replenish your grip. I would say the best you could really do is just ramp that also offers decent card advantage.

    You know, come and think of it I'm not even sure if there's better generals for Jund Dragons. The other two options are Karrthus and Darigaaz, and I'm REALLY not a fan of using Karrthus as a general due to his insane clone weakness which can completely kill you out of nowhere, and Darigaaz isn't exactly strong either. 1 mana for 1/2 more while losing trample...eh. Wasitora might actually be pretty good for this role.


    Fair enough, given the pool of Karrthus, Prossh, Darigaaz, Vaevectis and Wasitora, none of them exactly scream tribal synergy. Might as well go with the cheapest of the bunch.

    It just feels like there are so many hoops to jump through and the pay off is a uniquely cute but not-so-great Cat Dragon Token. For Jund Dragons, there are better generals, for Jund Tokens and Jund Sacrifice there are better as well. She has the market cornered on Jund Cats but I don’t think that’s really a thing.

    Narset draws tons of hate, well known as an oppressive commander, I would suggest staying clear of her for your first build.

    Ghave is nice because you can go in so many different directions with him, so that’s my vote.

    Not so relevant in EDH, although I guess it works well with Pestilence effects.

    On a seperate note, this was a great removal card in Ravnica block limited, being able to take out two dudes for the price of one is always great.

    Scourge of the Throne isn't technically a 1-shot but provided you go after the player with the highest life total you'll get a second combat phase and an absurdly large Dragon to finish said player off with.

    Edit: Whoops, I was thinking about 1v1 with 30 life, thats where most of my Xenagod experience comes from, you'd end up 7 life short of a knockout in 40life format, my apologies.

    wow at the huntmaster art, and they made it a her. Weird if they didnt put in Jace considering he shouldnt be that expensive.


    While Jace needs a price drop, I think he would wreck the msrp on this FTV product. No Jace means they can pack in a handful of fairly good and sought after cards instead of a bunch of trash to compensate for Jace’s value.

    Vela the Night-Clad is perfect, she makes your rogues harder to block and punishes removing them, and gives access to the two most important rogue colors.

    You can also use blue’s artifact theft as faux-removal, Thada Adel, Acquisitor style.
